July has been an action-packed month in many regards, and while our typical summer heat never arrived in the valley until early July, it unceremoniously ended at the end of the month literally overnight. Yesterday it was 93F at 6 am and with the humidity they say it felt like 97—and I can’t disagree. This morning, despite no rain at all it dipped to only 81, feeling like 83. Hallelujah! Now we just need those chances of precipitation to increase and dump on us for a couple of days—or weeks.
