“Everything is hard before it’s easy” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I’m thinking about making videos for the next thirty days, because I want to communicate things I think are important in a more direct way. The purpose of the videos will be to inspire and uplift people in a similar way as my writings, and I’ll get as much out of them as anyone else because they’ll challenge me and help me get better.

Making a video can be nerve-wracking, because I haven’t done it very much and I’m forced to deal with the fear and nervousness that come with trying something new. Fear has stopped too many revolutionary minds from achieving great things, and I don’t want to let it stop me from communicating with you all more directly.

Communication is the main aspect of my mission, and there are a lot of things I want to say about life, society and spiritual evolution. Whether I write, speak on video or do anything else, I want to communicate what I feel in my heart. Speaking on video seems like a natural next step for these heart-centered teachings, but I’ll also continue to write because I’ll always have a passion for it.

I’m basically forcing myself to face my fear every morning for the next thirty days (provided I actually do it), and it’ll be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I need to do it though, because I’m ready to grow and evolve. It’ll require me to continuously confront my limitations, but I’ll have to confront them some time anyway and now seems like the best time.

I’m learning by making these videos that we can’t progress if we stay on the same level. If we feel like we’re stuck or we need to grow and expand, we have to listen to our inner voice and use love to boldly confront fear and hesitation. When we do, we’ll gain a sense of accomplishment from getting past the fear that held us back and finding success through all of the failure.

We might fail a lot in the beginning. The lucky few might not fail at all, but it won’t be a walk in the park for most of us. We’ll have to deal with the crushing sense of inadequacy that’s caused and enforced by failure, but it’s actually good because we need to address this inadequacy if we want to move forward. Failure is a natural part of the creative process, and it can be an ally instead of an enemy.

We move closer to success by getting excited about failure, and when we do succeed, we’ll have failure to thank for the lessons it taught us.

Instead of letting it diminish our self-confidence, we can realize that everyone – even the most successful creative and revolutionary minds out there – goes through it. They understand that failure is a necessary obstacle and ally on the road to success, and when it comes to creating a new world, we’ll have to deal with a lot of failure (which will test our ability to stay strong in our unity) before we succeed at anything.

Society will undoubtedly unravel when we’re no longer under the control of oppressive governments and corporations, and this isn’t a bad thing. It simply means creating a new world will be a huge challenge, and we’ll have to fail a few times before we succeed.

Helping people who need it sounds easy at the surface, but it could require a lot of collective confidence and a lot of failed attempts. The same can be said about anything else – failure is inevitable and can happen a lot, but it’s also the road to achievement.

If you’re fearful or nervous about something new you want to do (or if you keep trying and failing), chances are it’s exactly what you should be doing. It’s probably the very thing that you and the people who are led to your work need right now, and giving it up would be tragic. You’ll always wonder how it could’ve been if you embraced your struggle and pushed forward, and you might be disappointed that you didn’t go for it.

We can avoid all of that by embracing and transcending our fear of failure. We’ll have to seriously challenge ourselves, but anything’s possible with love and perseverance.

I can’t promise I’ll stay 100% committed to my 30-day vlog challenge, but I’d at least like to try because I’m ready for something new. I don’t want to express myself in the same way every single day, and while I do want to consistently write, I also want to do other things I enjoy that can be used to share these intuitive musings and wake people up.

This is my calling, and yours could be entirely different. Whatever your calling is, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and embrace the fear and trepidation that seem to hold you back but actually hold the key to your success.

I can envision a time when everyone’s aware of their mission and willing to expand their limits, and when that time comes, there won’t be a single uninspired person among us. We’ll all be willing to contribute to the planet’s transformation, and those of us who started a little early will be glad we challenged ourselves and encouraged others to walk the path.
