Beloved Ones,
Let us have discourse on the quality of love known as openness. This quality is manifested in one’s life as having the ability to go with the flow of one’s life and its events without expecting predetermined outcomes. It means an individual is receptive to new possibilities without prejudging them.
This quality of love within an individual is an ability to make them open to out of the ordinary opportunities as they come forth. One should be aware in the spiritual life that one is to keep an open mind - a mind that is open to ideas, experiences, people, the world, and the spirit.
Each individual can increase their openness by practicing empathy which moves them outside themselves into another's situation. When an individual tries to access the feelings and the ideas of other's, it creates a sense of openness, acceptance and expansion within their heart and within their consciousness.
They are open to try new things that hold the promise to connect more deeply and vitally to life. Sometimes an individual will have to reconnect with things that they have neglected which previously brought them renewed life, vitality and enthusiasm.
They connect to those things that help them to be more fully grounded and aligned with their inner divine essence.
As they open to these things, they experience a sense of complete wholeness. There is a feeling of harmony and unity, there is a sense of everything and everyone belonging, there is a sense of a divine order in all things.
They experience the peace of being at one and belonging. They experience the ecstasy of being truly alive in each moment. When they see others who have found a way to bring their dreams into reality, they celebrate the achievement and feel encouraged, inspired and enlivened by their openness to the other’s success.
They feel lifted up into a dimension of joy and bliss. They see these moments of openness as gifts of spirit, and their gratitude and thankfulness for these moments is boundless.
They experience the understanding of how much the world would change if all individuals were open and continuously attuned and connected to the loving presence of God. They allow the life of God to flow into and through them.
They see how different their life can be if they were constantly open to God’s guidance and direction. They have a genuine faith and trust in the goodness of the people around them and come from a place of the heart rather than of the mind.
Openness in an individual’s mind and heart means that they are able to listen not only to the words which others speak, but also to the unspoken communication of their experiences; their hopes and aspirations, their struggles and their deepest concerns.
The individual embodies a contemplative spirit, open receptivity to others and accepts what the other’s heart wishes to communicate. They have a capacity for empathy which leads them to have an experience of fraternity and shared humanity in which heart speaks to heart.
Each person in the encounter is enriched by the wisdom, greater understanding and friendship of the other. Openness in an individual is a quality that accepts other people as they are with all their human weaknesses.
Openness of heart is a fundamentally nurturing quality and doesn’t need to address anything in one’s life or within their person in order to cultivate meaningful connections with others. By being open to others, one experiences a deeper sense of intimacy in their relationships.
An open-minded person is forthright in their attitude and displays a lack of pretension which is free from prejudices and biases. They enjoy exploring the world around them in order to gain new insights into the workings of the universe and the world in which they live.
The quality of openness is a dynamic and primal force that connects one with the surrounding universe and reveals to them a brand new way of thinking and being. By unlocking the door to a fearless and authentic life, an individual is willing to be open to change in their emotions, behaviors, and beliefs.
This provides them with daily experiences of a sense of breathtaking joy, adventure and wonder. By calling forth their best attitude towards life, one can liberate their life and live in a harmony that sets their heart aflame with love.
One must be willing to stretch one's perspective beyond limiting notions about self and others and be ready to expand their being for the sake of love which creates the opening for more love to flow through them.
With open-mindedness, guidance, and support, an individual can navigate the surprises and challenges that come up along the way in their life experiences. This keeps them connected to all the goodness and love that they know and desire.
An open heart and mind is open to input from outside sources and is willing to be influenced. It also recognizes that each individual has a gift to give to make the world a better place. It recognizes that there is a source of creativity within themselves which can be tapped into.
One is motivated to make a difference in the world by becoming actively involved in its daily expression by hanging out the welcome sign for new realities to come into being.
They see the brilliance that is hidden within themselves and within others and want to bring it out into the fullest blossoming of their highest potential in order to make the greatest contribution that they can give to the world.
It also shows an open and accepting presence which those around them can resonate with. When this quality of love is embodied within each individual, it can reveal a whole new reality, a new way of meeting life which changes one’s life forever.
