  Hello Sparkling one,   I saw a lightship at Mt. Shasta in 2002 (or maybe 2001?).  I lived there for 2 years almost accidentally or more likely, synchronistically!  I had been travelling for a year or so, living in a camper truck loking for a place to stop for a while and work on a project that couldn't really be done in a camper.  I was on my way to Oregon's coast, possibility Newport was attractive to me.  I stopped at Mt Shasta city to visit a friend that hosted visitors at the local I Am reading room for a few miniutes.  On my way back to the freeway, I noticed a property management office and figured, "what the heck?" and stopped to ask if there was a cheap apartment available.  I didn't expect anyting because people try to find housing at shasta for months unsuccessfully, but, lo!---- an ideal apt just became available that day and was $200 LESS that expected!  It was like the mountain said "this is where you are suppossed to be now".  I spent 2 years there. It was a healing and growing time and a t the end of 2 years, I just "knew" that it was time to move on if I wanted to keep growing even though it is a nice place to be with a special energy or spiritual vibration or vortex, like sedona and other places around the world.  I have read that Shasta is Earth's root chakra.    Anyway,  while living there, I had a vivid obe where a dog spoke to me and told me that dogs travel out-of-body all the time, but they don't see many people doing it!   Then on another day, I found myself gazing at a brilliant, disc-shaped light hovering off of the south by southeast slpoe of the mountain.  There were smaller points of light leaving from and returning to this large disc of pure, white light.  I was thinking, "wow, I'm finally seeing a real spaceship!"  Then I noticed some differences.  It was a sunny day and I could see all the trees and rocks and feel the breeze and the lightship remained with the little ones coming and going, but ther was a difference. There was no paved roads and only a few cabins and teepees and no cars, just a few wagons and horses.  It was only then that I realized that I wasn't in the physical.  But it was absolutely real, just as real as anything in this "3rd" dimension.  I must of slipped into the higher dimensions for a few moments.  I have considered this experience a gift and some that I've spoken to about this, think it may have been the Arcturian ship Athena, but I don't know,  I just know what I saw and it was real.
