No one has a manual to tell us how to be human, although, there are many instructions along the way:

Listen to this,

You are to low vibe,
You are to out there,
Your conciousness it too low,
Your conciousness says it all about you!
Meditate this way,
Don't meditate this way,
Etc.........................blah blah blah............Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
The list goes on and on!
It gets confusing and boring!
Eventually, we will figure it out!
Manual, to be yourself...................................
JUST BE YOURSELF!!!!
You know what is right for you!
You know yourself best!
You know if you are hurting others or not!
You know if you are being fooled or not!
YOU KNOW YOU!
Never stop being YOU, listen to YOU!

Jim, I understand your POV, based on logic rather than insight.
But judging-labelling someone you've never met is beneath you.... insults MY judgement, and that of many hundreds Birdi helped, at no cost. Her death was partly the result of overextending herself to help others... as she never said no to spirit.
Yogananda described his guru Sri Yukteswar in the same manner, as strict-demanding-yet loving-compassionate. His position:
"accept what I can teach you, or find someone else to learn from if you prefer"
One doesn't learn the Sutras from a Catholic , or the Kabala from a Muslim. all have different skills-understanding to share-teach.
When 8-12 of us met for class, to learn about healing-reading,...spiritual matters...time was precious. So argument wasted ALL our time, when we could be productively learning skills she could teach-mentor...same as any kind of class that is offered without fees.

I get it Kelly Ann, Friends don't do this sort of thing to each other. They don't blame or make the other person feel guilty for something bad that has happened to them in there lives. They are friends, because they understand each other, and have respect for each other as well.
Even if there views are different, they have that respect and loyalty in them, that holds there friendship higher then this world more less.

Just reminded me of my spiritual teacher, a spiritualist minister,
A very compassionate, loving woman, yet strict at times. Her teacher-(source) would bawl her out when she didn't follow her guidance.
... much as gurus have done, to their favorite pupils.....
Being a teacher can be a tough thankless job I assume. She didn't resist discussion but didn't tolerate argument with her. Students who were problematic were invited to go elsewhere or start their own class.
She was hated by a few jealous ones but loved-respected by many.

Sky, Everyone see's things differently, and it isn't right or wrong to see things like this, but when someone tells you, something that isn't true about something you are doing in life, or if someone is there just making you feel bad about yourself, then it is time to do something, and get your life back in order again

Exactly, they aren't the judge to tell other people what to do or how to be, or how to act.
We all have our own paths to follow, and when someone doesn't make us feel good it is time to move on
or when something doesn't make us feel good as well
