  You know something, I submitted my request on time on 11/11/12 and I never heard back. I certainly DO need the help, not to say I won't survive without it, but... if they simply chose to exclude me, who are they helping? My conclusion is that perhaps this was a sham of some kind after all. I'm not sure what one would do with my name and address, who would be motivated to collect such info from the people of this board or other places, but... the more time that goes on without any response from this fund, the more suspect it seems.

  I'm not worried about it, really. I was just told weeks and weeks ago that we'd be hearing back "within a week" and they still haven't contacted me. If I "don't qualify" based on my financial condition, I don't imagine many people do. LOL

  I note that there are people saying on that site that they've heard back immediately after sending their emails. I sent mine on Veteran's day, and still haven't been contacted whatsoever. Just having trouble thinking this thing is legit because I even met the deadline, I filled out the application, I have a good case and I was honest about it. Unless they are just drawing names out of a hat as to who they will or won't help, it doesn't make sense to me for me to be rejected if others are truly going to be helped.
