With the rising cost of food andfor busy people, everywhere,the options for getting adequatenutrition are limited.One can either go out or ordertake-out/delivery for a more-often-than-not, unhealthy mealat a "restaurant."The term is used loosely, here;the "food" (a.k.a. "phude") maycome from a fast food chain, whoseingredients are dubious, at best -or from decent restaurants, wherethe norm is that far more saturatedfats, salt and culturally-accepted,brain-damaging excito-toxins, likesoy sauce are added, than one mayadd, while cooking one's own meals.Such a conundrum might make aperson, such as myself, who worksmore than 12 hours per day tosearch for an alternative, or to justforgo eating regular meals, entirely.Enter Soylent.Is Soylent the future of food? CEO,Rob Rhinehart lived on his liquidinvention for 30 days straight, andthe feat propelled him to internetfame and fortune. Rhinehart, anengineer by training, has a dreamis to make his product available,similarly to a public utility, so thata liquid meal is always available,literally, on tap to anyone who paysfor his service.
