Has Sheldan explained why nothing the GFL said they were going to do has actually happened? I didn't join any of his webinars.
This isn't a dig at him or initiating a thread to start a 'Sheldan sucks' war between believers and non believers. I'm curious to know what happened. There's only 2months left until December 21 and he made some very big claims that were suppose to have happened before that date.

Nidle is a master of deception.
I think there is much wisdom in this. The Dalai Lama has said so many profound and true things...I greatly admire him. Other people have great esteem and resonate with Sheldan Nidle and just plain like him. People follow what feels right to them in their heart and that is how they form their faith in things. Obviously Sheldan offers something that sounds good to people and it mades them feel good inside and he offers a vision that they strongly want to be true. Even though what Sheldan has said and talked about has not come to pass, people have a vision in their mind that they want to be true very strongly, so the fact that things have not materialized, does not shatter the hope that sometime in the future that these dreams will come true. That is how charismatic people get their followings, they provide a vision and a dream that people desire. People love the vision and the story, and love the idea of a race of extraterrestrials watching their backs and giving protection. That is so easy to understand. People have an intrinsic nature to have faith in something "above" themselves and it makes them feel that life is less ominous and dangerous and out of their control because they feel are loved and watched over. Humans are like that.
So I am not here to bash Sheldan and am putting all personal feelings about him aside for the sake of greater understanding. It is having faith that keeps humans going and striving, and for everyone it is a personal feeling inside, and who am I to criticize who or what people have faith in. Faith does not necessarily make sense I am learning. It goes beyond just whether something is true or not, or if someone says something is true and then it ends up not true...it is about HAVING faith....and when people start dowing their faith or object of their faith it feels threatening because they don't want their faith to be taken away or diminished, it makes them very defensive. People since the beginning of time have had faith in all sorts of things, sun gods, moon gods, cows as sacred, all sorts of biblical things, all sorts of religions, science, and there is a reason for that. Some people have faith that there is a GLF out there covering our backs, and no matter what anyone might say to dispute their faith, they will still believe. I am beginning to realize that if it makes them feel safe and loved, I guess that is what works for them. It reminds me of relationships in a way....look at all the people who have loved people who have not treated them right or abused them, yet the person can still love them anyway and feel faith inside that things will be better for them some day...They make excuses for the abusive person and stay with them with hope in their hearts, and that is what keeps them going. (I know this because it happened in my life...so I know what I am talking about.) I am not saying that Sheldan Nidle is abusive, I am just making an analogy for people believing in things that for others may seem so obviously not true or right. But it is their faith that keeps them feeling good inside and gives comfort when they need it. So for the believers, that feeling they get sustains them, so I am not sure that their belief is "wrong", because it works for them. I hate to see people deceived intentionally and it is my instinct to try to protect people from that situation, but I am learning the hard way, that people do not want to be saved and that trying to do so is basically futile. People will believe what they WANT to believe, and if you try to point out some obvious flaws in their vision, it only makes the people have a stronger faith in their dream and clutch harder and more tightly. That is just human nature...

Sheldan is a Charlatan. End of story. The only implant that he has is the idea to mislead people and take their $$$. I really feel sorry for the folks that are caught up in his little fantasy. It's only a matter of time until legal action is taken against these Snake Oil Sales people. There has got to be some law against misleading people, and taking money from them the way Sheldan has, especially since not one prediction/event that he has spoke of, has come true. But people keep flocking to him in desperation, wanting something good. It's really kind of sad. I just wish something would happen that would make all our dreams come true.
I didn't join the webinars either but our beloved Mr. Ed did. He gave an update but I don't believe the failed timeline was discussed (no surprise there). In my opinion, I think the answer to your question of "what happened" is simply that Sheldon Nidle is nothing more than a con man writing a bad sci fi story. I know there are some Nidle followers on here who believe everything the man says so I'm sure they'll give you a different answer.
