Serving / Handling Food when handling money is bad practice

When you go to a restaurant, tea coffee shop or any other place where the cashier takes money and then serves you food it is really out of order. Money is continamated as it comes from people's pockets,purses and wallets. You should be aware that nearly 1out of 3 do not wash their hands after going to the toilet so the cashier handling money and then serving/ touching food or even touching the tea bag is in fact serving you with dirty hands full of germs. Wearing gloves after handling money is also wrong as you will find most touch the outer areas of the gloves when putting them on thus the gloves become dirty.In any food place one cashier should be in charge of handling money only and other staff serving food. I have complained to the Health and Hygine department but they say there is no law saying handling cash and handling food is not allowed...shows how much the know and care..the fools.I only go to places where they have cashiers just handling cash and not serving food and where tea bags are in sachets so I can put myself.It seems a lot of people do not care but I may be one of the few ones who cares.In future try and be more careful for you will only be eating / drinking food and beverages that are also continamated with bacteria and germs which you can not see but they are there...put under a microscope and they will show up.Remember these people are interested in your money and not your health so it is your duty to be careful

My friend used to work in an inner city small convenience store in a really bad part of town. She had to go to the doctors because by the end of the day every day she felt like she had been drugged and was flying like a kite. It got really bad by the end of the week, she would be totally wired and agitated....she did not do any drugs, not even prescription meds and hated that wired feeling and could not figure out why she was getting like that. Come to find out the bad neighborhood she worked in had a large populus of people who snorked coke through rolled up dollar bills and from handling those bills everyday she actually was getting a coke high, the doctor figured out. Her doctor had her blood tested out and cocaine was actually detected in her blood. She started wearing gloves everyday and her problem went away. Finally she left that job after a year because the store got robbed about 7 times in a year and she was lucky she did not get killed. So yes, I have to agree that money picks up all sorts of residue, lol.

it is extremely wrong practice to handle money and then handle food..A Cashiers job is just to handle money and there should be separate staff handling food PLUS WATCH THEM CAREFULLY FOR THEY MIGHT WEAR GLOVES BUT TOUCH THEIR GLOVES ON SURFACES AND THEIR OVERALLS OR SOME EVEN TOUCH THEIR HAIR WHO HAVE LONG HAIR...A LOT CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES AND THINK THAT THE GLOVES ARE ONLY TO KEEP THEIR HANDS CLEAN.

THEY SHOULD BE A HEAVY FINE IF THEY HANDLE MONEY AND THEN HANDLE FOOD

  Your comment made me laugh Hollie ..using your theory that we are all one does not mean you eat germs and bacteria ...if you do you will find the germs and bacteria will start eating you once they get inside you and multiply .. This is one reason people get sickness and disease.
