My dad was a Scientologist, he is deceased now. I remember when I was a child about 8 years old he used to take me and my 2 brothers and 2 sisters go to some kind of Scientology classes. We had to read these books with big words and if we didn't understand a word we would have to stop and look it up. Lol, memories! I also remember as a kid doing the purification detox program. We all had to take all these vitamin pills and go sweat in the sauna at a nearby hotel. We got to swim too so that was fun. My father was a very intellegent man! I don't have anything against it. :)
Scientology today is a horribly twisted abomination of the shining jewel of spirituality it once was. It peaked in the 50's and 60's - its members were making huge inroads into the understanding our true spirituality and it represented the biggest threat to the dark cabals grip over the world as we know it today.
Members were gaining mastery over their health and physical environment. Out of body experiences, levitation, seeing through walls, full past life recall and materialisation of objects were all common feats. They would regularly publish their results and experiences in journals, such as spontaneously moving a car sideways whilst driving it to avoid an accident.
Over time, they were eventually infriltrated and taken down by the CIA blackops community, with the original learned members splintering off into their own groups and doing their own thing. Scientology today is NOTHING like it used to be. I will offer up the famous 'Interview with Dane Tops' for further reading.

"If we look at the Apollo 11, 15, and 17 sightings, the astronauts were describing things they didn't have the spiritual vocabulary for. On July 31 1969, Buzz Aldrin reported blue flashes that appeared to follow the craft. Following this, on the…"
