Monsanto employs a gene that supposedly keeps insect pests away from the crops. The problems with this gene are:
(a) The insect pests have now evolved so that they are resistant to this gene (MOTHER NATURE WINS AGAIN!)
(b) The "insecticide gene" kills the good bacteria in your stomach. It is believed that this may also be the reason for the sudden rise in Crohn's Disease and diverticulosis in recent years.
(c) The insecticide gene may be responsible for significant numbers of sterility in laboratory rats (BUT THEN THE MONEY ADDICTS MAY ACTUALLY LIKE THIS GENE FOR THAT REASON).
(d) The insecticide gene is hard to control, and genetic mutations may unfold into various bizarre proteins manufactured by the genes that may create a variety of health problems (but then again, the money addicts may actually like this gene for that reason).
