The Helsinki date selected is outstanding per electional astrology rules for selecting important events. The Moon is increasing in light, not in the signs of Capricorn, Libra, or Aries, more than 15 degrees away from the Nodes, and is in Conjunction with a well-placed planet it gets along with (Venus). And yes, Jupiter = Venus/Pluto, and this does suggest that relationships should transform in a positive way, regardless of no deals being made.
Venus is in Quincunx with Mars; Venus and Mars do get along with each other while the Moon and Mars do not. This Quincunx placement may define minor tension involving friends or allies, but nothing major.
The two big negative aspects to observe are Saturn Square Chiron and Chiron Semi-Sextile Uranus (and the latter is 1 minute away from being exactly 30 degrees). This appears to represent conflict over technology, and yes, nuclear technology stands out as the probable area for much debate with Chiron in Aries.
Jupiter is well-placed in the 3rd house of communications, but is involved with a hard trine with Neptune near the Descendant. This may be important to observe since Neptune rules "deception" and the Descendant is often defined as "the area of open enemies." It is thus possible that "hidden enemies involved in deception" may be an important topic of debate or discussion. The Trine between Neptune and Jupiter may suggest that some sort of accomodation may be made by both sides regarding friends or allies of one side deemed to be enemies by the other side. But with technology being an important bargaining chip, don't hold your breath. These are two men who drive a hard bargain, and while one is a business master with "The Art of The Deal," the other is a master of chess who plays 3-5 people at a time. And both war and diplomacy are very similar to chess, and yes, "all war is deception."
Trump's Chart Relative To Putin's Chart
Putin appears to have an advantage relative to experience (Putin's Saturn Conjunction Trump's Jupiter, circled in orange) and knowledge about Trump via Trump's extensive use of the internet to communicate with others (and this is evident with Putin's Sun Conjunction Trump's Chiron, also circled in orange). But Trump has a huge advantage with Pluto Square Venus (colored in black); Trump's 12th House Pluto has transformed many people "behind the scenes" who liked him and also disliked him, and usually such changes had positive results regardless of how the person felt about Trump. This may also be related to one of the rules of Trump in his book "The Art of The Deal," in which "both parties walk away feeling satisfied." Evidence for improved relations (over time) are both Sun signs in the element of air, and both Mars placements are in a hard Trine with each other in fire (circled in green). Saturn placements on both charts could define problems; Trump's Saturn Squares Putin's Mercury (colored in purple) may reveal or force "exposure of communication blockages or areas one can't talk about" and Putin's Saturn EXACTLY conjuncts Trump's Jupiter (colored in orange) may force "hard choices to be made that may involve changes in one's business model or one's philosophy (or both)." In summary, "Trump needs to be Trump," but he will have to be careful how far his Gemini curiosity will be allowed to go. There is the possibility of good talks taking place (or a good start) with this meeting, but there is also the real possibility of intense debates over secret areas and also getting misunderstood with ones' intentions.
Trump's Chart Relative To Helsinki 2018
With Saturn Square Neptune (colored in light blue above), Trump is going to be on the look-out for fraud or deception. Putin is a chess master, and deception in chess is very reflective of the same deception function in both war and in foreign diplomacy. The Sun Conjunction Saturn transit (colored in orange, above) strongly suggests that Trump will be working with someone more experienced than him with foreign relations, and thus Trump may spend time learning from Putin about certain aspects of foreign diplomacy as opposed to trying to squeeze him. This doesn't mean that Putin holds an upper hand in all foreign matters with this meeting, but the possibility is real that Trump may be forced to sit down and to listen at certain times during this meeting, as opposed to leading the narrative. And this may be something new for Trump that may be sobering for him in an uncomfortable way. Add the fact that Mercury is transiting in Trump's 12th House, and this adds special care for Trump regarding his communications. Trump is a Gemini, and a slow moving-Mercury in the 12th House may define special care needed when communicating with others. There is the possibility of "open mouth and insert foot" if one is not careful with communications when Mercury is transiting the 12th House.
Putin's Chart Relative To Helsinki 2018
Helsinki 2018 has Mercury Square Putin's natal Jupiter, with Mercury Conjunction Putin's MC (and in slow motion. This is the pattern circled in black (by the 9th and 10th Houses) above, and squaring Jupiter in the 7th House). This indicates that Putin will do very well per communications, and may even dominate the meeting. Debates over secret areas (and especially involving top secret areas) are very possible with the Sun Square Mercury transit (colored in red). Putin's natal Mercury is in the 12th House, and this placement is dominant with those who live in a world of secret communications with others (and note that Hillary Clinton's chart and the C.I.A.'s chart both have Mercury in the 12th House). And with the Sun forming a Square with this natal Mercury placement, debates (and possibly arguments) over top secret areas are very possible. Jupiter Semi-Sextile Sun (drawn in light blue) is hot and also offers some luck for Putin in regards to his allies or associates. But the one aspect that can annoy Putin with this mostly positive transit pattern is Pluto Opposition Uranus (circled in green above). Transiting Pluto does not form an exact opposition with Putin's natal Uranus in 2018. But Pluto is within two minutes of a direct opposition that may suggest transformation or tradeoffs of a 9th House Uranian nature, and this may include changes concerning relations with certain allies, nuclear weapons, terrorism, or technology. Other than that, this should be a good meeting for Putin with exception of serious challenges to secret areas of Russia that he may not want to talk about.
