I have recently studied Matriarchal Society.

If anyone has read what the 13 Grandmother's task was, in approaching the Pope in trying to dissolve, it seems to put the whole jigsaw puzzle together.  Isn't it amazing today that millions of people only have a balcony (2x3 metres) to sit on as their 'outdoor' living.

Here's some interesting info that seems to explain why we are in such a mess today.  I know it's to do with land ownership.  I know some people on this forum are likely to own their piece of land, but many people don't.  This leaves the ones who don't in the unfortunate position of not having the power to grow our own.  We'd be free if we could.  Who'd need ridiculous government laws and all the other bullshit that goes with it?

13 Grandmothers

We were here before the governments came and we will be here after the governments leave. It is not okay for them to go into our forest and patent our medicine without our permission. It is time for all First Nation people to stand up globally and declare our solidarity as First Nation people and guardians of our planet again.[citation

The grandmothers said the documents — a series of papal bulls written by the Catholic church beginning in the 1400s — continue to affect indigenous peoples on all continents. The papal system “set into motion perceptions and relationships based on power and domination that are still the basis of legal systems all around the globe,” according to the council.

The United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are among the countries whose treatment of indigenous peoples is “directly tied to the papal bulls,” said Newcomb, author of “Pagans in the Promised Land: Decoding the Doctrine of Christian Discovery.”

The U.S. Supreme Court in 1823 declared the European “discovery” of inhabited land “gave exclusive title to those who made it.” In the United States, for example, Indians were allowed to remain on the land once others discovered it, but Natives could not control it without federal approval. Today, the Interior Department holds 55 million acres of Indian land “in trust” for American Indians, a system that puts politicians and government bureaucrats in charge of managing the land, including collecting money for any income earned from it.

This also provides a good solution.

Is this how we get back to ethical ways of living?  Could this pave the way for the Golden Age?

In order to show up the analogies between matriarchal research and the gift paradigm, I will give you a brief overview of some of the rules and regulations of matriarchal economy. This economy is a subsistence economy. It is usually based on agriculture using animals for labour, (Mosuo in Yƒnnan/China, or the Minangkabau of Sumatra/Indonesia) although in some instances there are societies using animal husbandry (such as the Tuareg in Northern Africa). There is no private property and no territorial claims. The people simply have usage rights on the soil they till, or the pastures their animals graze, for "Mother Earth" can not be owned or cut up in pieces. She gives the fruits of the fields and the young animals to all people, and therefore the harvest and the flocks can not be owned privately. Parcels of land and a certain number of animals belong to the matriarchal clan (matrilineal and matrilocally organised clans) and are worked on communally. Parts of flocks can be united with other parts and land often changes hands within the peasant community as chosen by lot.

  • ..ownership is an unnecessary burden....

..but since we still live in a society that keeps producing low awareness individuals, who still keep fighting and compete each other even thought "the war has ended for some time now"... we cant avoid it...

..when people at some time down the line, "wake up and smell the coffee".. we will move again to better ways of being...

It's not until we reach a point of too much suffering that we say 'hey how can we do things better?'  Then we and humanity seem to head in a new direction in order to reach a solution.

Suffering is going to come.  Big time.  The monetary system took humans off course, away from nature.

I agree that society keeps producing low awareness individuals.  Good statement!

      • yes..something like this... unfortunately humans mostly "react" to social conditions, and dont act beforehand to prevent a bad situation from happening... i guess laziness plays a big role in this...
        • or the lack of intelligence

          sheepish, trust Government knows best,

  • Hi Gailene

It is no wonder that Aboriginals have felt so out of sorts with their spirituality taken from them along with their land.

Popes orders - Go explores the lands and kill off the natives.  White man was so arrogant to do what he did. I won't go into it. But we could've learnt alot from them.  The Aboriginals only used to work 4 hours a day.  Now how long does the white man have to work for?  Who was the smart one?

    Bloody ridiculous!

  • it is quite possible that we will return to the land someday ................................
  • I think many alternative people would feel the same way.

Mainstream don't think like us.  They only see things with blinkers on.  What they see is 'today'.

Remember how the Hopi's predicted that 'many will look like us, and follow our ways?'  They are the Pleidian/ hippies who very much appreciate Native American Indian teachings.  Interesting.....
