Margarita Simonyan: "We are extremely outraged that the new head of the BBG mentions RT in the same breath as world’s number one terrorist army"

MOSCOW, January 23 (Sputnik) — Andrew Lack, who was recently sworn in as the first chief executive of the US Broadcasting Board of Governors, has labeled RT as one of the main challenges to his agency, along with radical militant groups such as the Islamic State and Boko Haram, according to the New York Times.

"We are facing a number of challenges from entities like Russia Today which is out there pushing a point of view, the Islamic State in the Middle East and groups like Boko Haram," he said. "But I firmly believe that this agency has a role to play in facing those challenges," Lack added, according to the new

Andrew Lack, a notable media executive, has previously served as president of NBC News.

"We are extremely outraged that the new head of the BBG mentions RT in the same breath as world’s number one terrorist army," Margarita Simonyan, RT’s editor-in-chief, retorted. "We see this as an international scandal and demand an explanation. We believe that equating journalists to terrorists is a crime against the whole journalistic community," she added, according to RT.

The Broadcasting Board of Governors is an independent federal agency of the US government. It supervises all of US government-supported civilian international media, such as Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks and Radio Free Asia.

"Dreks,
It is good that you understand that 'zero point energy' is just 'aetheric energy'. Physicists tried so much to do away with aether only to hit at zero point energy. But 'empty space' cannot have any energy, even according to their E=mc^2.…"
