One of my deepest experiences in my life was a sentence of my grandfather he said, when I was 18.
We discusssed the mathematical impact in life. He said:
In everyday life there is hardly such a thing like straight lines and right angles, but curved appearances instead. All geometry - Euclidian and other - is only a mind product looking upon idealized constitutions. Math is only to a certain point a discovery, but in general an invention in order to make normal life things fitting into idealized shoes.
I was totally perplexed over many years, and I even have not yet trespassed the line of total understanding.
Now that in our modern view math has become the main tool of understnding our world - quantum physics and string theory is a good example - the question raises again, what does math mean in the process of perception and interpretation of world, life and universe. Is only a mathematician able to say valid words? Are they the modern priests being able to interpret our being in this world? Is math really a discovery, an invention or both? Is it an imaging process or setting a fundamental form?
It is indeed an ingenious thing having for instance a wave function Ψ as description of a quantum mechanical constitution of an entity. And it is totally ingenious too for having the mathematical tool of getting derivations Ψ/dt thus having an appearance in time, for life happens in time. Building derivations is of course not more than imaging this very fact in a mathematical way.
Now many people, if not most of them, have no understanding in deeper math thus being tempted to believe, they do not understand anything. This is not true. There are ways of understanding beyond any math, and math, despite being very important, has also it`s limits. And here it gets interesting.
If a world is only able to get understood in math logics, than the question raises, whether all possible math solutions are senseful or have validation. Obviously they are not.
For instance are there solutions of Einstein`s equations leading to an Einstein - Rosen - Bridge, which is often discussed ( see f. i. here http://www.krioma.net/articles/Bridge%2 ... Bridge.htm). Makes that sense? Does it work? Is it valid?
Or see different approaches to different String theories. Are possible solutions in highly complex math artefacts senseful or valid? Can we know that for sure at first place?
I go a step back to more simple math. According math I can calculate, how long a person eating 1 kg a day would need to eat up planet Jupiter, which is of course senseless. Or I also could calculate, how long I could use my pen having a Sun shaped vessel filled with ink. From this we know of the senselessness of such solution.
So I ask again. Which sense makes a math model of cosmology only being understood by a few people? And those, which not understand, are they fucked or retarded?
No, they are not. Before all math there is life as it appears. There is a courage to live. There is a love to life. There is also all kinds of fear and pain. What did we really gain by understanding math? A better world understanding?
I come more and more to this: we gained a bit more time to play with our life. To escape boredom. To play the game of knowing ones, but not more. To be amazed. Actually we are too small to have any importance.
One of the latest discoveries is the similarity of universe and brain cell (see here http://sprott.physics.wisc.edu/pickover ... verse.html). This is most impressive. Maybe math is one nice art of keeping such impression vivid. One art, not the only one...

I believe math is another language that aloud to understand and get closer as a fragment/knowledge to the universal truth one-step at the time. Universe expands and so are we, and so our perception and physics as well. However math gives some form of ‘stability’ as basic start point to that knowledge (as it aloud to change).
However as Einstein said:’ Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind’. So unless those two become one, each is limited by it own ‘conditions’.

The models of physics as we know them are flawed, because there is a Unifying principal between them that makes them all make sense.
And in order to discover that Unified Field Theory there are additional Forces in this universe, which are interdimensional, which we need to have a firm understanding of first. And we wont get that buttoned down until we develop instruments that can pick them up.
Additionally the true physics of the universe require the use of a Base 12 mathematics system, which we aren't using. And as long as we keep using the Base 10 system there are critical things that we wont stumble upon "by accident".
(though its understandable that we use Base 10 because we have 10 fingers, but its time to graduate from that).
I know, that Kryon talked this way.
But untill now his remark on pi on base 12 makes no sense to me.
The other one is Mark Rodin with his vortex math, which lacks in my view a proper definition of differential geometry, which is necessary to differntiate in non-linear regions, which is in fact usual.
Describing a pattern is only one thing - then comes the process of explaining the "flow" of it by means of solving field equations and conditions of something which differs from time to time.
An interesting way is Gerrit Lisi trying to combine pattern and flow.
But, hey, what is, if all that is happening is not really real, but a "brain happening"? If there is no "outside", but only "inside", if math "only" describes "perception-thought-interpretation" of our conscience?
