A man, known only by his Reddit handle TramStopDan, was indulging in a spot of dumpster diving when he came across a rather elegant handmade box.
Intrigued, he took a look inside and found a collection of eclectic papers which have perplexed and fascinated the internet. The box has been dubbed ‘The Box of Crazy’ online and it is easy to see why.

TramStopDan explained in a Reddit post that the handmade box contained sketches of what appeared to be UFOs, along with written recollections of visits from these extra-terrestrial vessels in the 1960s and 1980s.

The box also contained drawings of creatures which seem to be a fusion of Biblical creatures described in the book of Ezekiel and extra-terrestrial beings. In addition to that, TramStopDan also found intricate hand-drawn maps dating to the late 1930s, designs for train wheels and various personal effects.

The stunning intricate nature of the drawings seems to indicate that someone has taken a great deal of care and attention over their compilation. Clearly, the box of crazy must have been deeply significant to someone. But who? And what does it all mean?

The images of the contents of the box have generated excitement, confusion, and skepticism in fairly equal measures. Internet users have asked why on Earth someone would go to such care in compiling these documents over such a long period of time only to throw them into a dumpster. Others have been more keen to examine the mental state of the person who created the papers. Did they really witness another dimension? Or is the box of crazy the creation of someone suffering from some kind of mental illness? Others have suggested that the creator of the box could well have been TramStopDan himself in a bid to generate internet hype and get people talking.
For this time, the meaning of the contents of the box and the identity of the person who created them are both complete mysteries.
