and the demons and the asuras churn the ocean of milk
for the nectar of immortality...
Which symbolically is Ghee butter oil the essence of the milk and the bestower of immortality
This is the amrta--- the golden nectar
the healing elixir which will lead to immortality....
So this discussion will introduce the meaning behind this cosmic event in our very lives..
How every day the serpent struggles with us to churn that elixir of immortality our divine birthright
Why this battle goes on in the world ..What is its divine purpose.....

Of course the spirit of Ganga devi is still there Ravinder...
Ganga resides in the hearts of her devotees...Ganga hears their prayers...
The devotees derive the spiritual benefit....Ganga is eternal spiritual being and so are you..
The ganga is polluted externally..I dont know how toxic it is....but the artis and the holy wishes of all the saints and sages..counteracts the external defects.
How can you say that spiritual aspiration is pointless?
Some seek moksha thats why they attend the festival....
But the real Moksha is the association of the great saints and holy people who are attracted to be there.
The Ganges is the Supreme washer of the sins of all bad deeds..She can wash all bad deeds and still remain pure..
The hearts of the saints and the sages..
that is where the ganges truely flows

and distributes the nectar to the demigods who had won the tug of war with the demons...

His name is Rahu Lord of negative emotions......
He managed to get some of the amrta nectar up to his lips but his deception was immediately detected
that is where the poison comes from the lips the words...and Mohini chopped off His head.. but because he had touched the amrta His head was immortal..his body dropped...
In this way Mohini plays the divine role of Kali who symbolically chops off the head....the attachment to the mind.
