"I paint in Patagonia" was the theme when children in the Chilean presidential palace La Moneda gathered to protest against the construction of large dams in the country.

On Thursday hundreds of kids painted, drew and wrote why they do not want the dams being built, why the rivers in a natural way need to be there and not be diverted, so that a small elite can become rich while nature is abused. The paintings are hung at the presidential palace. The riot police were not deployed for the first time since protests are being held.

The Latin American research firm for Environmental Conflict and Editorial OCLA Quimantú coordinated the operation for the building of which it is suppressed. The intention was to release a powerful energy in schools, streets and parks. This energy must ensure that no large dams are going to be built in Chile.
