I have noticed a lot lately there have been a lot of political stuff, intel stuff, conspiracies and stuff of the mundane and dualistic world we live in posted in Spirituality in General. It is my suggestion that it might be nice to have a category called "Politics around the World, Published Questionable Postings from Questionable Sources, and Just Plain Bullcrap, Down and Dirty". It seems that a lot of stuff about world leaders and presidents and leaders and Pope's misdoings etc. and there is a lot of scuttlebutt and back and forth between strongly opinioned members with political views etc. It does not seem very spiritual at all...That is why I am thinking if we had a category where members could go at each other's throats and all posts that cause division and strife be contained in a particular category, that would be helpful for all those who do not want to listen to the name callling and character besmirching and assignation of each other and all the hate and discontent rhetoric. We could all just skip that category if we do not feel like hearing it or reading it. Just a suggestion.....I am not being sarcastic I just thought that it would not interfere with people's right to post anything that they want, it would just contain the hatefulness factor to one place in particular and not have it in the Spirituality in General, which I feel should be containing spiritual stuff and not inhouse free for alls and mudslinging.
What do you think members? Ben? Comment anyone?
~Interpersonal turbulence is enmeshed with the final birthing pains of the New Paradigm... it's part of the process. One of the challenges that continues to rear it's head in New Agey circles, is a projection that 'Love & Light' should only be equated with soft spoken words & positive interactions. Of course, nothing could be further from the Truth. Try to imagine a world where everyone agreed all the time... where's the room for growth in that? The 'roles' of Teacher & Student are constantly interchangeable... oftentimes, we learn the most by our ability to move through are greatest challenges, not our greatest victories. & yes, this includes many of the heated exchangers that take place in cyberspace; an arena where many have taken pride in stirring the multidimensional pot for personal gain. So it goes. Again... all of this is connected to Humanity shedding the limitations of duality & returning to Unity-Consciousness. A state of Co-Creation that isn't limited by inevitable disagreements... rather, an Awakened state where we real'eyes' that everything is an extension of ourselves, & as such, worthy of Respecting. As we move closer to r e m e m b e r i n g who we really are, perhaps the key thing to keep in mind when 'one' finds oneself in a confrontation is: Don't take anything personally... as hard as this may be to grasp at times, it never is. Ben has created a wonderful Comm'unity' where it's quite effortless to navigate around energies that don't resonate. Which when all is said & done, is a matter of perspective. ~TemetNosce247
I've found 'The Four Agreements', by Miguel Ruiz, to be a powerful tool for Spiritual Navigation...
The Four Agreements
1. Be Impeccable with your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don’t Take Anything Personally:Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don’t Make Assumptions: Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always Do Your Best: Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
Hey! That's what I said. ;) LOL
Well said, Stick!
I like this...great advice...awesome video too.
Hey just a question,
I find these pages confusing to navigate, one would think that as a discussions starts then the latest comment would just pop up on the page and everything else would just get pushed down, do you know what I mean? In this case you have find the last page to get the latest comment...... Cheers!
