There are a variety of odd notions about what the kundalini is and does when it is aroused. This brief article was written to help the reader dispel these illusions, and perhaps more clearly understand this subject.
Illusions
(1) Kundalini has nothing to do with sexual fluids or ojas. The kundalini is a fiery, Divine energy. It is not a fluid. It does not increase with the accumulation of semen in the male prostate, or ejaculatory and lubricating fluids in the female's Bartholin's glands. These fluids are a reservoir of prana, or life force, which people often confuse with the kundalini.
(2) Sexual tantra, which in some individuals can bring about a partial awakening of the kundalini, does not produce enlightenment. Sexual tantra (e.g., sustained sexual intercourse, karezza, or maithuna) can awaken some individual's kundalini shakti into a Subplane of the Biophysical Universe. This is very ecstatic, but has nothing to do with enlightenment.
Enlightenment occurs when your attention becomes fixed on your ensouling entity and you discover its eternal nature. You do not need to have sex to achieve this state.
(3) The awakening of the kundalini does not automatically bring spiritual powers over nature (siddhis). Spiritual powers are chosen and anchored by the ensouling entity when the siddhi yantra that embodies them have been integrated into the vehicles of the Superconscious mind. They don’t automatically appear like magic.
(4) The kundalini only rarely can be used to actually produce spiritual transformation, and this is a very dangerous practice that must be carefully supervised by an Adept. It is, for example, used to make the transition between the Lower and Higher Subtle Realms. It is also used during the Fifth Planetary Initiation. Don't try this one at home without the coach.
(5) Kundalini raised up into Cosmic and Supracosmic Octaves, beyond an individual's spiritual cutting edge, does produce deep Samadhi—but often creates many problems. When the energy of the kundalini is raised beyond your ensouling entity, the higher octave of your will cannot control this energy to bring it back down. If a Kundalini Master or Guru is not present to assist you to bring it back, you may be locked in Samadhi with the kundalini burning ever upward. Then your life becomes a total nightmare.

(6) The kundalini energy rises through all three channels—sushumna, ida and pingala—simultaneously. You will certainly run into problems if you try to tamper with nature's wisdom and "balance" this energy, by moving the energy from one channel to another by healing attunements or breath techniques. The kundalini has been rising for thousands of years: it really knows what to do—you don't have to help it.
(7) The kundalini, when it passes through unawakened aspects of an inner vehicle or unawakened band of the continuum produces emergence phenomena. This is not a sign of spiritual attainment: it is a catharsis of your unconscious mind. Without the ability to integrate this material, it has little therapeutic benefit.
(8) Keeping the kundalini raised will certainly keep you in a state of Samadhi, but it will seriously hamper your ability to function in your personality. Remember, when the kundalini rises, it shuts off the functioning of the personality. This means that you lose
- your sense of identity and rootedness in your personal history (ego)
- your ability to think and test reality (mental seed atom)
- your ability to feel your emotions and relate to others as human beings (emotional seed atom)
- your ability to move, and sense what is going on in your body (physical seed atom)
- your ability to anchor your attention in the waking state so your personality functions seamlessly and automatically
Being able to produce this state of catatonia is extremely useful if you are planning to remain motionless without thought in a state of paralysis and suspended animation for long periods of time, so that birds can build nests in your hair or people can bury you alive. It is not a useful state if you are planning to work, study, or live any semblance of a normal life.
If you do not know what you are doing, please do not attempt to awaken the kundalini. Only an Adept, who has the power to both raise and lower the kundalini at will, is competent to guide you in its correct awakening.

Thank you Feather :) I enjoy Drunvalo's work, maybe I should stick to him. I got a lot of his books in PDF and there's tons of videos with him, so what you said is that he's basically teaching the same thing as Indians and Tibetans do?
I'm enjoying life :) But I'm hungry for spiritual developement and being around likeminded people. It feels hard to get this to kick off. I am taking baby steps and right now I'm doing everything I can to decalcify my pineal gland, I figured it was essential to have a clean pineal gland before you can start having experiences? Apart from dreams I just see blackness when I close my eyes and meditate, no colours, no visions, no astral projection to this day, so I thought maybe it's good to take care of the physical body (so it's pure and cleansed) first and it's easier to go from there. I also try to do chakra balancing with my crystals and different guided meditations, though I can't tell if they work, because I don't feel different afterwards. Another thing is that I am almost constantly drained of energy and want to sleep a lot. I have not figured out the root of this cause, if it's as simple because I have a new job and go to the gym on the evenings, or if it's something else. I really can sleep 10 hours if I am allowed, but when I work I only sleep about 7-8 and it feels too little for me. I would really love to have more energy and be able to sleep less. I don't even eat heavy foods anymore, I have started with a big majority of vegetables (chlorella and spirulina as well) and fruits. I should feel lighter and more energized but I don't.
Anyway, it's an interesting journey life.. how fast perspective can shift from day to day, it's almost like it's built like a house of cards, a little push and all comes crashing down.
What matters most to me is that I connect with my own being and unravel everything that lies buried inside for me to remember. I want to live in pure harmony and peace with everything, timeless and truly free. I recon it's a long way to go and much work to be done. Who knows what Earth will be like in 1, 20 or 100 years? I'm curious
I see alot of sanskrit words. I have alos looked at many youtube clips from Ma Nithyananda Sudevi, and she uses very much sanskrit words. I believe she has studied under an "enlightened master" in India.
So is this some teachings they follow from ancient history? Many words in sanskrit obscure the true meaning if you don't know sanskrit. Is it Vedic teachings ? I'm a bit interested, but I would prefer to study translated material, I have never understood the meaning as to why keep sanskrit words, they must have a translatable word too?
But I feel that this is pure spiritual knowledge and wisdom that have little dogma contained. Where can you find people who teaches and passes on this wisdom? I'm really interested, but I feel alone where I live having this inner deep hunger for spiritual wisdom/knowledge and truth.!

When your kundalinin begins to awaken you start to awaken your lower energy centres. and the awakening moves progressively up the body.
It's important to understand that these centres were not always shut. they shut down for a reason.
and that reason is emotional pain that corresponds to those chakras.
pain, like any other felling requires energy to be experienced.
if you have been in pain for a period of time without any resolution on the horizon, your higher self will shut that chakra down to protect you. from the pain.
Whilst this may be a good short term solution, the implications are you lose the resources that are available to you when that chakra is fully operational.
and it also impacts on your immune system.
when you take steps to reactivate that chakra, or as is happening in the new enery, the chakras are starting to activate of their own accord, you must go through and come out the other side of whatever it is that shut it down in the first place.
this may manifest as an emotional, or neurological condition.
Keep working with it.It is the way to true healing.
“Illusion of Kundalini” - unless you have experienced that yourself, only then you can say if it’s an ‘illusion’ … people used to believe that our planet is flat, then they learned that it’s not; after people believed that our planet is the center of the universe, then they learned that it’s not, learning happening everyday. Try to explain 5 year old the quantum physics, or how chemical element work … everything is energy, as we are made of ‘molecules and atoms’ … we do absorb light and sounds etc … most peoples disappointments comes from their own personal assumptions … Why would anybody try to activate anything if they don’t even know what it is? There are basic practices that leads you towards it, the same way before you use high math you have to learn your numbers … that’s why before ‘new age thing’ … Kundalini was thought only to people who are aware and comprehends the whole principle of it … with the proper guidance from the ones who has experienced it first hand. Everyone else only can speculate on that … like with everything. Kundalini could be activated with chi quong, or tai chi – which is gradual process and long one, letting you to learn about your body. When you know what energy is and how it works only then you move forward, well at least that's how it was done before. There are no short cuts in this process … as most people wanted and after those people telling the world that its not working or it's an illusion … - which is an attempt to inflict others with their experience.
