it is about how we came down,into 3d land and forgotten the light we are.
Not knowing the consequences of our actions, thus not remembering how to behave.
The shades of grey is about, the lessons we must face, as we elevate into higher consciousness, we realize, the other person we seem to blame is not the enemy,but the fault we see in them is the teacher teaching us our own faults within ourselves, we must be the master of thy self.not of another.
but steer our own consciousness into the right direction is being the captain of our own destiny.
Once we truly master thyself by understanding love absolutely loves all, we remember who we were in the higher realms, and join our multi dimensional selves back into unity and harmony.
The harmony once understood, teaches us that we can be experience,and knowledge, which is the captain of your ship but to be an admirable, i believe it is to put foot to path and teach others of your own experiences and knowledge, and show others how to teach themselves to be the master of their own self,i believe somehow is related to wisdom and wisdom is to share your experiences and knowledge.
Once this is understood you then can put your fragmented multi personalities back together again as we were split from the higher dimensions down into lower dimensions and as like how you are in now.
Then i believe when you graduate higher in consciousness form, i believe then you become somehow your own multi dimensional personalized Admiral of you, the real true you, that you can now redirect your personalities of all realms into whatever creation you wish it to be in your next sojourn adventure into the multiverse but this time with a masters degree in christ consciousness where you can now blend in the all of your refined aspects of yourselves into the creation of God's infinate domain and wonders.
Oh one more thing i believe when i wrote this

Until i felt the karmic effects of my lack of knowing my actions, i came crashing down like a tidal wave,
however it starts out like a ripple in a pond and if left unchecked, this ripple turns into a tidal wave, and if left unchecked and unbalanced you will only see the grey murky depths of your problems, somehow you have to find a way to get out of it, love is the key when you are blinded by the things of this world. Love will show you how to forgive your mistakes, trying to go through the murky waters by force only ensures how egotistical you are, just makes things worst.
Forcing yourself upon another is not the way to christhood, humble are the meek for they shall inherate the earth, forcing your way through life only leads to more consequences, especially upon another.
However others see this poem differently, but it maybe there version of it.
This here i was referring to once we graduate we can then star trek across the multiverse with our golden christ consciousness ticket to roam the multiverse with ultraterrestrials, so we can become more refined in higher consciousness.
