Yesterday something really strange happend to my vision... it's happend before but not for nearly two years now; and this time I didn't freak out but tested it and tried to analyse the experience logically but I still don't know what is happening and I am beginning to think I may have something wrong with me.
I've had migraines off and on for years, but this experience is much different than I remember. In a real migraine I experience extreme light sensitivity, nausea and sound sensitivity, those who've had it know what I am talking about, a migraine is so painful and almost untreatable. Sleep is the only I've had that works, but I digress.
This newer experience is much different. I was just working normally, feeling alright; when suddenly my vision fractured, it was like looking through a kaleidoscope, and there was extreme light as well around the edges of my vision. I could see well enough through "tunnel" vision forward, but through each eye and mostly to the right side, there was a bright pixel like light streaking across my sight, like a light filled veil fell across my vision. When I closed my eyes it was still there, and each eye saw the same thing when I closed them one at a time... so I don't think it was an outside influence.
It only lasted an hour this time, and other than feeling disoriented it didn't hurt until after it was over and then it just hurt like crazy in the center of my forehead, but it was treateable with tylenol. I was at work this time and tried to hide what was happening so people didn't think I was nuts- but what if I had been driving? I am afraid that some head injuries I had as a child may be affecting me, I've gone blind during migraines and that is terrifying to experience.... so I thought it may have something to do with that. But I've seen specialists and had the usual tests and they just give me pills to make the pain go away- but we've never discovered what is happening with my eyes and brain.
Has this happend to anyone else? Does anyone know of this occuring? It's scary but I am trying to have faith that all happens for a reason. Any help would be wonderful, thanks so much, all. Have a wonderful day!

Okay, did you happen to read the rest of the answers to my posting or did you hurry to the bottom to tell me that I don't what I'm doing?
Yes, it's called a silent migraine and many other names, yes I am taking care of it. And thank you for your touching concern about something that was painful and frightening.
I'm sorry HappyKelly that you took my reply as me "hurrying to tell you that you don't know what your doing" THAT was NOT my thoughts at all in my reply...I am very sorry that you felt that way. I wasn't meaning anything towards you at all...in my hast I guess I came across wrong. Only wanted to tell you that what you're experiencing is another avenue of migraine which, yes, can be very frightening. I did read through SOME of the other replies but got frustrated at all the replies that were saying it's ascension activity that your experiencing so yes, after about 3 of those replies I went to the bottom and left my post. Again I am sorry that my reply seemed rather mean as well as seeminly towards you personally - it was not meant to be that way. Don't worry I will no longer be posting or replying or having anything to do with this site.....I hope the best for you!
Peace,
Cailen
Don't worry Cailen, it's just been difficult lately, and yes I have been having ascension symptoms, but it's not all encompassing. I've had to stick up for myself quite a bit here, yes I was surprised at first too, but I find that there are some really wise and funny people as well. Sorry if I come across as harsh, but I've about had it with the pointless criticism I get sometimes here...talk about getting sidetracked.
Yes, AC can be off putting, we debate a lot about silly things, depending on your perspective. My advice is to check things out and see how you feel about it. It seems that you have made up your mind already and that is okay, whatever you feel is right is the way to go.
Thank you so much dear friends for your kind words and support. It does look very much like it is an Ophthalmic Migraine, though there is no known cure and it is under researched, I did find alot of information thanks to link provided by Maria. One of the interesting things is that people have all sorts of different visual and physical effects, though not all of them have the same triggers. I hope this is not going to be a common thing for me, it's really distracting when you are trying to do your job...
I'm still not my chipper self but sleep helps; and to yell the truth I'd rather have an OM than a doozy of a migraine that knocks you out for days until you just want to die from the pain... I had one once that lasted for five days, it took two agonizing trips to the hospital before they'd treat me seriously and they gave me shots to put me to sleep. Oh it was terrible; let's not go back there again! Thanks again, you are all so bright and wonderful! :)
I started getting migraines when I was in my early 20's, they always start with my vision getting a tiny prism of light, which grows across my vision until finally is gone. I can't really do much while my vision is messed up, like drive, read, etc. I found over the years that I can be feeling just fine and then all of a sudden the vision prism shows up. What I do is take headache medicine as soon as that happens because then after my vision clears, I don't get the headache. I don't always feel to great the rest of the day but at least I not having to go to bed, with no light, no sounds. Just to let you know that all started back in 1974. I don't really get them anymore, maybe once in awhile, but I also found that if I'm working hard at something and have not eaten yet, I will get one. Also some foods seem to cause them also. Also around my monthly period I would get them more. I was quite scared at first and had my eyes checked too.
Hope this helps a little bit. Light and Love to you.
the higherself is alwats placing each of us in the right place at the right time doing the right thing and it wouldn't be in your highest good for it to happen while driving now would it ;)
Trust yourself and everything will unfold in harmony safety and balance.
Namaste Friend!
Thanks so much you guys for your helpful information. I have a bit to think about now... I was hoping it has nothing to do with a physical ailment- it's kind of freaky that one blood clot to the brain and I could be a vegetable....
But, there is a reason for all things.... I will go within tonight and ask questions. Many blessings to you all, I hope you have a warm wonderful weekend :)
