My home is planet Earth.  Where I stand right now, with my feet firmly planted in the ground – this planet is my home.

Yet, we all carry little books with us, little books with words and numbers in them.  Within this book, there is a ‘piece of land’ dedicated to us, yes to you and me.  That ‘piece of land’ – of planet Earth, is our home.

We are bound to that ‘piece of land’ – for that is our origin.  That is where we come from and that is where we will remain.  If you wish to travel elsewhere – you need that little book to accompany you. And for some – you may not enter certain other ‘pieces of land’ because… well because someone who probably is no longer alive says so.

I am a citizen of planet Earth – not of America, not of England, not of Argentina, not of China.  No, I am a citizen of planet Earth.  This planet is my home, not some country, a ‘piece of land’ with borders created by people who are now long gone.

My body is created from this Earth;

the air I breathe is from this Earth;

the food I eat is from this Earth;

the water I drink is from this Earth.  

I am a part of it as is it a part of me. 

There is no distinguishment. 

But no, I am an American.  I was born in America, I belong to America.  My flesh, this vessel in which I travel belongs to them.  My passport proclaims that to the highest mountains.  I may travel where they say I am – for I am their property.  I am perceived as the country, for that is my ‘home’.

I am a citizen of planet Earth – I look up at the sky and I feel the world breathing.  I become aware of where I stand on this blue orb.  In my mind I see the country I am in, I see the neighboring countries.  My focus shifts higher and I see the whole continent, a massive plane of land filled with such wondrous no words could ever articulate.

Moving even higher, I see the oceans, the other continents, I see the day and the night – the ever continuation of a sunrise.  For within every moment of an earthly existence the sunrises and sets, where there is a beginning there is an end, with an end there begins again something new.

I am a citizen of this planet, this blue orb, this world I call home.  The blood of this planet courses through my veins, not that of Mexico, nor that of Spain.  I may go where I choose, I may wander the endless stretches of this world without restraint, resistance or borders.

I LIVE IN A WORLD WITHOUT BORDERS, my home has no limits.  I am not confined by the predisposed conceptions of laws and systems that wishes to bind me, to hold me, to tie me down in restraints that burns, that maims, that instills fear and doubt.

We have been controlled, forced and made to believe that we are divided, that we are not one, that we have only a small ‘piece of land’ which we may call home.

This is not true!

It has never been true!

As I say to one, I say to all – release yourself.  Be free, let go of the parameters instilled upon us by society, by the “them’s” and “they’s”.

Just as much that I am an individual, I am part of a community, a global village, a home filled with thousands upon millions upon trillions of beings.  There is no separation between us.

I am a citizen of Planet Earth.

This world is my home

But this home has borders, for a little book says so.

With numbers, and letters, and microchips inside – my home is a small 'piece of land', there where I am forced to reside…

My heart has no borders.

And softly, slowly, gently I see my home. The home of a planet, not just a simple ‘piece of land’

I am a citizen of this planet, this Earth is my home.
