God the rock

Ancient hebrews were told that God is a worrior, a king, a ROARING LION. If you don't beleive, look at this; (my most favourite verse in bible!)"The lord ROARS from Zionand thunders from Jerusalem" Amos 1:1Then people developed a bad notion about God: a hot tempered, jelous, uncompromising mounster. He looks down constantly at everybody to find out if one is messing with his rules that he may visit him with fierce punishment. A dictator/tyrant.Jesus came and said NO! God is a loving person, infact, a Father.Then the pendulum swung to its opposite extreem. God is now a daddy. A mr.nice guy who cannot even kill an housefly. Infact love itself personified! Now we can punnish God like we punnish any other dad; walk away from heaven when he doesn't buy toys for us. That his heart may be troubled when his kids are fleeing from him!They forget the most important artribute of God, the rock! Yes! A DEAD ROCK! Of what use is a dead rock? Well fools pray to a dead rock and complain when they don't get answere! Yet they are drawning in a storm! Rocks here are more important than leaving beings! As for the wise;They have an anchorThat keeps their soulsSteadfast and sure while the belows rollFastened to the ROCK which does not move.
