I never speak about out there stuff or spiritual stuff either with anyone unless I know they are like minded.
At the same time there are out patients walking around on meds and they end up as mass murderers-Sandy hook shooter, Jared what's his name, the Colorado shooter, there was a student a few years back who killed 37 at one of our universities-all psych patients
Being an inpatient at a psychiatric hospital doesn't necessarily define one will be a mass murderer. The common denominator is antidepressant drugs. I view those medications as dangerous to the human psyche and spirit, and these drugs are notorious for creating moods of extreme rage when one weens themselves off from such drugs.
I also believe that people are taking antidepressants as an alternative for marijuana, and marijuana's bad sides effect include junk food raids and failing math tests, but hardly ever any rages or desires to kill people (which are common side effects with some antidepressants, especially SSRIs, Prozac, Lexapro, and Paxil). I'm still waiting for a construction worker to come home, fire up a joint, and then punch out his wife or teenage son.

I don't approve of shock treatment (for depression), but I never heard of a mass shooting done by someone who underwent such treatment. The Japanese subway mass murders, the Tate-Bianca murders, and the Heavens Gate murders were done by religious weirdos and brain washed disciples with a twisted guru or cult leader, and I don't think that prayer, meditation, or hands-on-healing were related (unless you want to include physical sex rituals, which was a method of Charles Manson)
I have never heard of chakra balancing EVER done in a psychiatric hospital setting. Yoga, artwork, and prayer are done as recreational activities, and are not mandatory.

I worked as a nursing assistant at a state hospital (second oldest one in the United States) for six years, and have occasionally seen cases of people placed there by family members (with money) after they told family members that the government was watching them for interesting reasons, including psychic perspectives and seeing aliens in their dreams or awake states. Resident psychiatrists diagnosed them with schizophrenia, got a court order for emergency 24-hour detention, and then loaded them up with anti-psychotic drugs. It's a subtle way of authority telling these people to "shut up, or we'll make you shut up."
This practice of "shutting people up" has dwindled in the past few years due to dry-up of tax revenues, but if you have a good insurance policy, watch out. Psychiatry is a dwindling medical practice, and they need your money.
