Hazed: Did Marijuana Come From Outer Space?

Taking its place among conspiracies like “Bigfoot is an alien”, “giants built the pyramids” and “the moon is man-made”, the theory that one of the world’s most magical plants came from outer space has grown in popularity in recent years. I’m not talking about strawberries (although there is a rumor that Greys enjoy strawberry ice cream) but rather cannabis.

dogon tribe

As with most convergence points between mysticism and the extra-terrestrial, the theories point back to the Dogon tribe and their special connection with the Sirius star cluster. The most publicized concept explains that the Greek historian Herodotus visited the Dogon tribe in West Africa sometime around 300 BC while they were having a year-long 420 celebration in honor of their favorite plant. When Herodotus went to count his lucky stars for the perfect timing, he found they were all in the Sirius star system. The Dogon explained to their new friend that the “two-dog plant” (cannabis) was brought to them from the “two-dog star” Sirius by a Nommo goddess. Nommo were amphibious/reptoid extraterrestrials that had a friendly relationship with the Dogon tribe. Today, the Dogon hold crocodiles in reverence, honoring them as descendents of their cosmic guides and explaining to visitors that the crocodiles in their lakes came from the sky.

The story first begins to unravel with the claim that the word “cannabis” is comprised of the words “canna” (dog) and “bis” (two) in Greek. However, ancient Sumerian languages use the word “kanubi” translating to “cane of two.” Ancient Hebrew language agrees with translations indicating the word means “cane” or “reed.” It can be determined that the “two” portion of the word may refer to the sexes. The sex of marijuana plants can be determined visibly making it one of very few plants on earth with such distinction. Most plants require DNA analysis to determine sex. The second pothole comes with the claim of Herodotus visiting in 300 BC when scriptures indicate he died in 425 BC. Perhaps some dates were incorrect but its difficult to rebound from such evidence.

The theory reaches beyond just this isolated story. Humans are born with THC receptors in our brains. This leads into another complex but even more popular conspiracy theory: that humans hyper-evolved through DNA manipulations performed by extra-terrestrials. Obviously this in’t just jumping to conclusions, it’s lunging for them. But it’s still interesting to think that, if humans are genetically designed creations of an extraterrestrial race, the THC receptors with which we’re born may have been specifically placed there to interact with cannabis – an alien plant.

Whether or not the theories hold truth, the human race has accepted the gift of ganja in varying degrees going way back to ancient times but now scientific developments are bringing mankind closer to “passing it back” to our cosmic brethren. After millennia of bogarting the joint, experiments are being done on growing plant life outside of the earth’s atmosphere. It’s already been proven that plant life can be grown and even flourish when cared for in low gravity conditions. It’s now speculated that gravity is less of a factor than the conditions of light.

Is there weed growing in space?

Its rumored that Dale Chamberlain, a former NASA botanist who flew a number of missions on the Shuttle Endeavor, grows a hybrid strain of his own he ironically calls International Space Station. Or is it ironic? While marijuana isn’t officially slated for a plot in the  Plant Generic Bioprocessing Apparatus aboard the International Space Station, with a wink and a nod he tell reporters he’ll “let the rumor float” as to whether him and others snuck a few pot seeds into the zero gravity grow station back in the day (from http://motherboard.vice.com/read/finally-weed-goes-to-space).

  • I will state that virtually all plants and animals on this planet, were IMPORTED from cosmos, DELIBERATELY, by space faring cultures, including "akanowai dejoie" (the Sirian star nation.)

    Currently, the earth is in quarantine, and so no species are allowed transit to Earth, with the sole exception of crystals, of all sorts and metallic samples, which are being brought in for investigation by authorised star nations, for studies by sincere earth scientists, seeking evidence...

    Apples, for example, originate on planets of the Plejares star cluster system of sun Tayget...So that would be planets; Askal, Luseta and Erra all have earth varieties, too.....Yes, even the "English" Cox apple, is from the Plejares, in ancient origins...

    The ancient Greeks even have a legend about the golden apples, though they spoke of the "Isle of Apples," or Atlantis...aka the Celtic "Avalon."

  • Hopi,
    "Space is not a concept"

    The concept 'space' rifers to what we have in the mind for the word 'space'. Otherwise the word will not mean anything. Therefore all the words that are in our dictionaries resorts to concepts. So space IS a concept. It is even worse with space because it is an ABSTRACT CONCEPT. The word 'billiard ball' resorts to a concept in ous heads, however you will find no much problems in teaching an ET who knows not English what the words 'billiard ball' means. All you have to do is point to one. As such, billiard ball is not an abstract concept. However, to teach an ET what you mean by 'space', you will have to use objects in relation to one another like 'between atoms', between the moon and earth etc. Without using his brain in some way, the ET will never grasp what you mean by 'space'. By thus using brain, he automaticaly forms a concept 'space'. So space is just an abstract concept!
  • Hopi, yes of course, thats why I came here to search such guys.:) The 'billiard ball physics' I was taught in schools did not help me understand anything about the universe. Granted, it helped me know how to use it.:)
  • Hmmm But those guys in the cave may not launch the setlite your using now. I launched it, but you call me stupid:)
    • @Rama Pemba

      .Those guys in cave may do other things you cannot do :) Thank you, I will ;)

  • Hopi, it is a bullshit statement any way. I was just kidding. Knowing to massage equations doesn't mean your a very smart guy when it comes to understanding the universe.
    • @Rama Pemba

      I see......well I agree with you on this :)

  • Hopi,
    Debunk the following statement of mine:

    Ruv-1/2Ruv=(Gp/c^4)Tuv

    Where Ruv=Ricci curvature tensor
    Tuv=stress energy tensor.
    c=speed of light in vacuume

    hence prove that I am not a genius.:)
    • @Rama Pemba.....

      Now you are just starting to get annoying....:) None of that matters. You have mystics living in caves knowing everything about the universe, but not knowing Shitt about science or quantum physics..and they don't have to.

      Don't bring me that bullshitt that you've read from someone else and pass it to me as if it was yours. "Statement of mine"????? None of it is yours. I don't even know what it is or care what it is, looks like stupid too me. Looks like more headache, less time to enjoy life. Spare me. You're stupider then i thought.

  • Hopi, and BTW you once called one comment of mine 'a stroke of genius'. I kept remembering that and didn't care much of the 'stupid' and the 'idiot' of today. I guess it depend on the number of puffs you take on your part.:)
