have you ever wondered why skeptics always claims to 'know better/knows it all'? It is most likely because they are a group of highly paid dis-informants. You should also consider the number of Hate for the Movie itself. Surely, what's with the growing hate? (reminds me of davinci code) I see nothing harm from the zietgist movie except teaching people to be more aware. I agree with vagelis, if you have a better idea, then why don't you contribute?
Anyway, when it comes to this - in this world of conspiracies, just believe what you want to believe.
** in one of the websites, they are attacking the author personally. I mean that's so obvious. This is not about the author's credibility but the message the zeitgeist movement want to spread. Its nothing but typical attack from those who want to hide something. Because it's a threat, that's why they attack. same ole drill.
From what I can tell, they don't appear to be paid disinformants. Can you offer proof of this? Can you offer any sound reasons as to why I should believe this? I don't have a problem with the skeptics because like I said, I don't have much of an opinion on this organization. But I've noticed a lot of inaction on their part and it's disturbing. Not only that, it's always best to ask questions, especially the hard questions. If you're not, you have a sacred cow on your hands which means you have a problem. There is nothing wrong with being skeptical, unless the evidence is so solid and overwhelming as to make skepticism unneeded.
As for not contributing, you come off as if I wrote the information on the pages that are debunking them. I don't have to contribute to them if I don't want to and my posting the links was to spark discussion, and to inform others of a different view point. That's it. I don't hate them. Also I have plenty of ideas but I don't share them with that organization because they strike as a group that wants to spend more time talking about the problems than solving them. Not only that, I'm already involved with my local community and that's enough work.
But going back to skepticism, if one isn't skeptical, they risk being played for a fool. How do we know that this organization isn't trying to play people for money? I don't know any of these people personally so what motivation do I or anyone have to trust them? I've contributed to organizations that have done far more than those associated with the movie. The Venus Project has been around for 20 or 30 years? Why haven't they made more of an impact? Why should anyone continue giving time and money to an organization that has, apparently, done very little?
These and many more are questions that one should ask of many organizations. Like the saying goes, knowledge is power. I want my time, money and ideas to be used by those who will actually use them. Not just spout feel good quotes or lectures, like that's supposed to be enough to convince me to trust them. I'm a woman of very high standards.
....well 1st, the ideas for the Venus Project, Jaqcue Fresco were in his mind since the great depression of 1929... and not only the past 30 years...
...why they havent made impact????..very simple... because people just dont care to make it have an impact... it was just not mainstream...
it came on the surface just because of the Zeitgeist movies...
2nd... Zeitgeist is not here to change the world... it is here only to pass out information.... if the world wants to change, it will need to get up on its butt to change...
the information is FREE out for anyone who wants to learn... nodody asked for anyones money... of cource the venus project accepts donations and volunteer work to pass the information out, and to make the future length film that they want to make, for to show to people what they are talking about, in visual form.... SO WHAT???
..the Zeitgeist does A LOT of action.... and that action is TALK... yes... talk to inform people about the situation we are in, and what we are capable to do as people for a sane sustainable society... it is NOT here to make hi-tech cities or sustainable constructs, or any other "actions", to save us... it is here only to pass out information....to bring awareness to the people of the world...
..i am a member of the movement and i have seen things from the inside... i dont need nobodys opinion on what Zeitgeist is...and what it does... i have seen the goods, and the bads...
..yes...being skeptical is a good thing... i am the most skeptic of all... even more of the so called debunkers... but if i want to learn about something, i do my own research...
...and since u close by saying u are a woman of very high standards... i will say too that i am a man of
a Very Super-Duper High Standards... and i always aim for the Best of the Best... and so far i havent seen anything better in the world than the Zeitgeist Movement, and the Venus Project for a way to build a society... and im always looking... if i find anything better, i will support it for sure... ;)
