Churchill ordered UFO cover-up, National Archives show

The government took the threat of UFOs so seriously in the 1950s that UK intelligence chiefs met to discuss the issue, newly-released filesshow.

Ministers even went on to commission weekly reports on UFO sightings from a committee of intelligence experts.

The papers also include a wartime account claiming prime minister Winston Churchill ordered a UFO sighting be kept secret toprevent "mass panic".

    Awesome info thanks. Seems like things may begin to come out now, and hopefully full disclosure. I for one say it is way past due. The general populace has been deceived and deluded for far too long. (not only that but when disclosure comes it will give me credibility at last.....haha, being an abductee that nobody believes because people do not believe in greys get very old, haha) I would love to get the opportunity to say "I told you so, lol!"

    It seems a little surprising that this story was covered by several mainstream media sources today. Maybe some spoon-feeding before the main entree? I hope you're right, Hermit -- I'm way beyond ready - lol! Thanks for posting, MD.
