It is so barbaric Feather, that all people around me, my neighbors, co~workers and the rest, laugh at me that I have badass, jungle of a garden to eat. I, actually have vegan potlucks in my garden and had to ask, respectfully, my neighbors to not barbeque any animals while my friends show up for vegetarian meal.

There's a difference between having a preference, and understanding when someone is joking.
I think eating with our mouth is a habit we should break. If we all learned to eat through our nostrils... we wouldn't have to worry about tooth decay as much. Or flossing.
Just kidding. It sucks I have to be so obvious but there are a few on here who aren't able to comprehend humor. >.>
I'll stop viewing eating meat as a choice once the rest of the creatures in the food chain stop eating meat.

My solution is deer hunting season (which I've never personally done, I don't want to kill a deer and then touch it... it probably has ticks, ew). It thins out the population (hopefully) and fills hungry bellies... and maybe even make clothing.
If YOU want another solution, YOU meditate on it. :P
Oh wait, I got another solution... call the ufos and ask them to transport the deer to another planet so it's no longer our problem. :)

I've gotten into a discussion before with a family member who is a hardcore nature nut about the over population of deer and why deer season is necessary and how it also feeds people. Although it wasn't really a discussion. Because their argument is that we wouldn't have to worry about deer on the roads if we didn't build roads on their land in the first place. So I ask, "what would you suggest?" and of course the conversation ends there. Because roads are convenient. And they allow my nature nut to travel from state to state easily, spreading her good deeds. So I figure I'd already skip ahead to that part in my statement above.
Have you heard about "ghost forests" which are the result of deer appetites when the deer population gets out of control?
Deer accidents are pretty serious and can be fatal to humans.
What is your solution then?

You can still respect a life after you've killed it. Like Indians, the hunters, after they killed the animal... they said a prayer or blessing, thanking the animal spirit. Showing it much respect.
