A plane that flew over the Jersey Shore with a banner displaying the word “Swastika” with the hate symbol intertwined with the Star of David angered beachgoers at the weekend
The Long Beach Township Police Department fielded several calls about the plane and sightings were reported in Manhattan, according to the Manasquan-Belma Patch.
The plane appears to be sponsored by an organization connected to the Raelian Movement, which claims life on Earth was created by a species of extraterrestrials, the Patch reported.
Don Pripstein, president of the Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island, said the center wants to know more. "We're trying to find out — what are their intentions?" he told the Patch.
In their press release, the Raelians' called it their "3rd Annual Swastika Rehabilitation Day," and invited Buddhists, Hindus and the numerous spiritual groups who use the swastika as a spiritual symbol to stand up and show their support in cities around the world.
The group calls the swastika a "symbol of peace and good luck in many Eastern religions."

ya swastika is / was a powerful symbol; its ancient was used for thousands of years; China, Japan, India, and southern Europe all used it in one way or another ;)
