I am a German, and I know I can`t speak for people in the US facing a new election. Nevertheless, I would like to share a word about it, because I know of the inner difficulties going to an election. Since I was 18 and allowed to vote I had this bitter taste in my mouth holding ballot papers in my hands.
Anyway, even in case you don`t know whom to ballot, just go to the voting booth. At least write on the ballot paper a name you like. Jesus, Donald Duck, Captain Kirk or Mr Spock, it`s your choice. By this your vote is counted valid despite being invalid, this is better than not voting. Think about it.
And please do not forget one important thing. First choice in every election, whether big or small, should be you. I CHOOSE AND ELECT ALWAYS FIRST MYSELF. Remember all you have is you which is small, but a whole universe. You can share what you have and what you are only by love which is the acknowledgement of you yourself.
Have courage!

..the worrying thing is not that Romney will win.... the worrying thing is that Romney gets so big percentage of votes... i mean...are we serious???
...and people think that humanity is ready for ascension???..lol..
I guess we have to wait three more hours to find out, eh?
most of the west coast polls close at 8 pm their time, making it 12 hours away.
hey john, which canadian priemiere sealed his political fate in october? or do you even bother with the politics in your own country.
I keep up with Quebec politics because I live here. I keep up with American politics, because I plan on living there. I keep up with Mexican politics, because I visit there alot and I have friends and loved ones there. I don't keep up with other provinces politics here too much, it's not my interest. Canada is small time, America is the big time....and that's where I want to be.
well dont let the door hit you on the way out.
and since you know "everything" about politics ill tell you what Dalton McGuinty did. he prorouged parliament to avoid being criticized and attacked, just like Stephen Harper did.
If you want to learn about real politics try paying attention to a province that has unity in mind. your province can only focus on how not to be part of the country it belongs to, just like you admit yourself.
btw if you knew anything about the economic issues we face here in north america you wouldnt vote for obama.
the buy american crap obama pushes is a death warrant for our economy, but i guess you dont give a toss abotu that since you want to be american.

Well I just read that report...that they mentioned in the article...and you got it wrong. They're saying Obama's plans won't do anything to the Canadian economy, it might even help it. They just worry about Obama's supposed cut for military spending, which will mean Canada will be less safe unless it puts more money into their own defense....and Obamacare, which supposedly will lure more Canadian doctors to America. That's what they say.
They say Romney's plan to cut taxes on big business will potentially attract investors that would've gone to Canada. It's actually Romney's plans that would be worse for the Canadian economy xD
But, worse...what's worse. A small dent? Canada's biggest trading partner, by far...is the United States. And aside from Europe, we are America's biggest export destination. We need each other, and even if Romney get's elected, it won't effect the economy all that much...especially if his plans actually work, which will create more products to sell to us.
We need to get our house in order too though. We need to support small businesses, increase trade with other nations, especially Latin America...sell off more of our oil and natural resources...give tax breaks to Middle class people....so we can have more jobs and more money in our pockets, so we can buy more things, which will increase demand, and help both our economies. That article makes it seem like Canada shouldn't do anything by itself, to help ourselves.
And they make it seem Obama wants to make America weaker by cutting military spending.... what he wants is to use the savings from the ended Iraq war, and put it on infrastructure and paying off the debt...which is what he should do really. He does plan on cutting the military because the military says they want a smaller, leaner army....with more special forces, and less huge heavy equipment, because there's no real need for that right now, unless there's going to be a major war with a major country. That won't happen, America won't go to war with China or Russia, ever. It won't make America weaker, it'll just make it more efficient. And even if they cut military spending in half, they'd still be spending more than the next 5 biggest militarys...combined.
So this whole worry about, oh Canada won't be as safe with Obama...just complete baloney. If anyone attacks Canada, you can bet Canada will be helped by all of NATO. Canada has nothing to worry about, and who would invade Canada anyways lol It's 2012, not 1912.
