IF YOU JUST WANT MY PERSONAL INTERPRETATION, GO TO STEP 7. THIS REPORT IS INTENDED TO BE A VERY BASIC STEP-BY-STEP LESSON TO TEACH ELECTIONAL ASTROLOGY OF IMPORTANT EVENTS, USING 9/11 AS THE EVENT.
This is a basic approach to interpreting 9/11 using electional or event astrology, with all my own interpretations of the points (and the event itself, on the bottom) included. This is a step-by-step approach, so it shouldn't be that difficult. Please provide feedback.
STEP 1: get the chart of the event, preferably within four minutes of the event (since it takes the Earth about four minutes to move one degree, and thus the time is crucial for determining the Ascendant (AS or Asc, which is the eastern horizon point) and the Midheaven (MC, which is the point in the sky above the event on Earth). YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING BASIC HOROSCOPE CHART BELOW TO REFER TO WITH THE USE OF THE INFORMATION GUIDES THAT I PROVIDE IN STEPS 2 THROUGH 6. I will provide my own insight and interpretation with the steps to help with the interpretation and understanding, as I know learning this craft isn't easy (I'm going on my 28th year of playing with this stuff, and I still have much to learn). Here's 9/11:
STEP 2: Analyze the housing placements of the basic chart. Note that the ninth house is particularly packed with zodiac points, and other zodiac points are placed in the twelfth, eleventh, tenth, second, third, fourth, and fifth houses. Here's my interpretations of the houses for event astrology (non-human):
Foreign relations, freedom, education, religion areas, travel and the law seem to represent strong areas and aspects within the ninth house. Hence, one can easily ascertain something going on in those areas with his event. Now we must analyze the zodiac points placed within the houses, via step three:
STEP 3: Analyze the planets and the luminaries in the houses. Pay special attention to the planet or luminary closest to being overhead (near the MC, or Midheaven) and closest to the Ascendant (ASC), IC, or DSC. Note that Mercury is very close to the Ascendant and in the twelfth house, and Jupiter is very close to being overhead near the Midheaven, and in the ninth house:
Analysis of Jupiter and Mercury indicate that something is possibly going on regarding areas that include travel, the law, foreign relations, and the news. With Mercury in the twelfth and near the Ascendant, news and the "airways" may be big with information and involving areas that include crime, spies, hospitals, prisons, or terrorism as possibilities. Jupiter in the ninth may indicate law, travel, religious tendencies, the courts, and relations with other countries as a part of the news aspect represented by Mercury.
Before one looks at the angles and aspects between the planets and luminaries, we must first understand if the planets and luminaries technically "get along" or have positive/negative relations with each other per energy combination via the aspects that they form with each other. It doesn't mean the event (OR THE PERSON) is doomed if they have an incompatible combination of planets and/or luminaries on their chart, but it usually means the person (OR THE EVENT) may have to deal with and define big challenges or expectations. Buddha had a chart with incompatible planets per aspect, and he gave up a comfortable life to try to deal with such energies (AND WOULD BECOME A MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY).
Now on to Step four.
STEP 4: analyze the angles or aspects between the planets and luminaries. Note that there are no angles or aspects involving the Sun in the eleventh, the Moon in the ninth, Neptune in the fourth, and Uranus in the fifth. Here are my list of angles and aspects that I use, with orbs of separation per degree:
And here's a grid chart of the listing of the aspects for 9/11. I DO NOT COVER THEM ALL, AS THIS WOULD BE VERY TIME-CONSUMING. I will cover only the ones I feel are important in Step 5. Here's the grid chart:
STEP 5: put together the planets (and their compatibility potentials) and the aspects/angles between them and interpret. Here are my interpretations:
STEP 6: now that we see how the planets are compatible, lets add the houses into the equations:
STEP 7: "This event involved much news in the environment (Mercury conjunction Ascendant), and possibly related to secret enemies, crime, prisons, hospitals, spies, and/or terrorism (Mercury in the 12th). Travel, the law, foreign relations, education, and philosophy perspectives (Jupiter in the 9th) are areas and possibilities that may have been in the news. There was possible slight tension with important relations (Sun in the 11th semi-sextile Venus in the 10th). There was probably much energy or debate per communications, relations, and general travel that may have involved police, military, and communications and/or debates with important relationships in those areas (Mars in the 3rd sesquiquadrate Venus in the 10th). Restrictions with travel and communications is possible, as is conflicts with communications involving the law, foreign relations, or philosophical perspectives (Mercury in the 12th trine Saturn in the 9th). Slight tension involving financial institutions, investors, and its involvement with travel, law, and foreign relations (Jupiter in the 9th quincux Pluto in the 2nd) is also possible."
