  HEY MICHAEL, PLEASE NOTICE WHAT I WROTE: "great acting!!" I agree with you that there was no one-on-one meeting like this with this scene. I am more intrigued by what the message was with this scene: someone who essentially told the system that their Aries Age lust with killing was wrong, and then watching this corrupt system represented by Bowie (as Pilate) respond to this with "you're next." 

  

  I had a recent brush with this as an innuendo from someone at an astrology session I had, and I while I am nervous, I also know that showing fear is the last thing you want to reveal when dealing with (or teaching) monsters that you invite into your apartment. It really has opened up my third eye, and I think this means someone really bad is in my environment.

  I agree with my first astrology instructor (Jayj Jacobs) that the real Jesus was probably more of a communist in the sense that he favored communal living outside of Rome, as this was the case with John The Baptist (who Jesus really admired). The crucifixion was a fraud, and St. Paul turned the tale of Jesus into a business. The same can be said with the prophet Mohammed, and now we have leaders from both faiths claiming "my God can beat up your God."

  And we are watching this business of organized religion face bankruptcy and corruption as the Age of Pisces ends, much like war-obsessed Rome and their corruption as the Age of Aries ended.

  And I hope to live to see it.

  ~The Last Temptation of Christ, from my perspective, isn't disinformation... but rather a deeper iteration of a powerful mythology going back to the ancient world that has had profound implications (globally) on the Human experience (https://youtu.be/9wwqZllyNuU). The notion of religion being manipulated seems a bit redundant, as from where I stand, that's exactly what 'religion' is: Manipulation. Ultimately, the film is a meditation on something more profound... the 'individual' drive to find meaning in a world where corruption & control have overridden our ability to discern the forest from the trees. For me, it served as a clarion call to remember who we really are.   ~A classic scene from a classic film, Malcolm. Damn, I miss Bowie!... he was also incredible in Christopher Nolan's film, The Prestige, where he played Nikola Tesla (worth seeing if you haven't). -As for The Last Temptation of Christ, I know Luke & I count it as one of our all time favorite films. I've used scenes from it countless times over the years on ACC to amplify the vibration of what I was trying to articulate. I know that's one of the many things I love about high level films... oftentimes, they contain scenes that just stick with you, imparting a kind of wisdom that reminiscing on the visuals & words can help re-enliven. It's a trip, I can't tell you how many times I've pondered the depth & weight of what the scene you posted is ultimately pointing to... ultimately, I see it as a powerful articulation of Humanities current struggle to reclaim Christ-Consciousness, our natural state of  B e i n g . Of course Scorsese's Last Temptation is loaded with those kind of Alchemical Gems. 
  

  
  ~I also know you're a music lover, Malcolm... so I imagine you're aware Peter Gabriel did the soundtrack for Last Temptation of Christ, 'Passion'. I have it on vinyl & highly recommend it. What many don't know is he also released an album called, Passion Sources which is equally as stunning. It's a compilation of Artists from around the globe who inspired his soundtrack & were included throughout the film. It contains tracks from the Senegalese musician, Baaba Maal, & the Pakistani singer, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan... both Artists who's mind blowing gifts have had profound effects on World Music. One can't say enough about the positive impact that Gabriel's Real World label has had for musicians from country's where their ability to reach a wider audience is quite challenging. I know I'm grateful for the light & respect Gabriel has shown World Music... I got to catch Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan live in an amphitheater in Berkley as the sun set a number if years ago; I'll simply say it was a magical night. & if I hadn't heard Passion Sources, I wouldn't have known to seek it out. & yes, I've seen Baaba Mail as well ;-) ... anyhow, suffice it to say, The Last Temptation of Christ has impacted my life on many levels that I continue to cherish. ~InLight555
