The strict edicts of priests, do not necessarily equate to God...In most cases, not at all...In the case of fasting, yes, this practice has worth and is certainly beneficial. Yet do so with full nourishment afforded, prior. Lest one starves. To fast properly, you must "switch off" hunger....Thus be satiated. Then AUTOPHAGY may proceed....especially after 18-20 hours of the fast.
