      • Here we go again, the same old story. This latest Trump topic will fade away and disappear into the archives just like all the rest, it means absolutely nothing in the bigger picture. You Trump supporters are fixated on Politics (which is a monumental perception deception) and especially in propping up the Trump administration which is all just a load of bollocks. It's going nowhere, theres no real value in any of it. Little good it will do you when you're on your death beds, (which can come at any time for anyone). What a waste of your own time and energy, relentlessly giving your power away and you don't even realize it. I suppose when the next election comes around in another four years, you'll be rooting for some other half baked moron who seeks your support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices, after the current one packs his bags and walks away to his Ivory castle with his "Make America Great" baseball cap on and his tail between his legs. Actually, that will be interesting to observe, if you're still here in another four years, to see which Illuminatti pawn you will be voting for in 2020, in the vain hope that he or she will somehow put a bandage over your wounded psyche after the demagogue you currently idolise fails to give you any real meaning to your lives. It's almost predictable, in four years you will still be stuck in the deluded notion that some other psycho running for office will somehow still give you some kind of illusary "hope" for the future! You're brainwashed, do you know that?

          • HEY MICHAEL: YOU'RE RIGHT. OBAMA DID DO IT. And here is Obama admitting it per timetable:

Obama Wiretapped Trump and Shared it With the Entire Government For Months

            Obama Wiretapped Trump

When do we bring up charges against the First (Half) Black President ™ Obama? Obama wiretapped Trump for months, likely illegally, and relaxed NSA rules about information sharing to get it to as many people in government as possible to ensure leaks to the press and others.

Drawing on sources including the New York Times and the Washington Post, Levin described the case against Obama so far, based on what is already publicly known. The following is an expanded version of that case, including events that Levin did not mention specifically but are important to the overall timeline.

            1. June 2016: FISA request. The Obama administration files a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) to monitor communications involving Donald Trump and several advisers. The request, uncharacteristically, is denied.
            2. July: Russia joke. Wikileaks releases emails from the Democratic National Committee that show an effort to prevent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) from winning the presidential nomination. In a press conference, Donald Trump refers to Hillary Clinton’s own missing emails, joking: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing.” That remark becomes the basis for accusations by Clinton and the media that Trump invited further hacking.
            3. October: Podesta emails. In October, Wikileaks releases the emails of Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, rolling out batches every day until the election, creating new mini-scandals. The Clinton campaign blames Trump and the Russians.
            4. October: FISA request. The Obama administration submits a new, narrow request to the FISA court, now focused on a computer server in Trump Tower suspected of links to Russian banks. No evidence is found — but the wiretaps continue, ostensibly for national security reasons, Andrew McCarthy at National Review later notes. The Obama administration is now monitoring an opposing presidential campaign using the high-tech surveillance powers of the federal intelligence services.
            5. January 2017: Buzzfeed/CNN dossier. Buzzfeed releases, and CNN reports, a supposed intelligence “dossier” compiled by a foreign former spy. It purports to show continuous contact between Russia and the Trump campaign, and says that the Russians have compromising information about Trump. None of the allegations can be verified and some are proven false. Several media outlets claim that they had been aware of the dossier for months and that it had been circulating in Washington.
            6. January: Obama expands NSA sharing. As Michael Walsh later notes, and as the New York Times reports, the outgoing Obama administration “expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.” The new powers, and reduced protections, could make it easier for intelligence on private citizens to be circulated improperly or leaked.
            7. January: Times report. The New York Times reports, on the eve of Inauguration Day, that several agencies — the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Treasury Department are monitoring several associates of the Trump campaign suspected of Russian ties. Other news outlets also report the exisentence of “a multiagency working group to coordinate investigations across the government,” though it is unclear how they found out, since the investigations would have been secret and involved classified information.
            8. February: Mike Flynn scandal. Reports emerge that the FBI intercepted a conversation in 2016 between future National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — then a private citizen — and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The intercept supposedly was part of routine spying on the ambassador, not monitoring of the Trump campaign. The FBI transcripts reportedly show the two discussing Obama’s newly-imposed sanctions on Russia, though Flynn earlier denied discussing them. Sally Yates, whom Trump would later fire as acting Attorney General for insubordination, is involved in the investigation. In the end, Flynn resigns over having misled Vice President Mike Pence (perhaps inadvertently) about the content of the conversation.
            9. February: Times claims extensive Russian contacts. The New York Times cites “four current and former American officials” in reporting that the Trump campaign had “repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials. The Trump campaign denies the claims — and the Times admits that there is “no evidence” of coordination between the campaign and the Russians. The White House and some congressional Republicans begin to raise questions about illegal intelligence leaks.
            10. March: the Washington Post targets Jeff Sessions. The Washington Post reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had contact twice with the Russian ambassador during the campaign — once at a Heritage Foundation event and once at a meeting in Sessions’s Senate office. The Post suggests that the two meetings contradict Sessions’s testimony at his confirmation hearings that he had no contacts with the Russians, though in context (not presented by the Post) it was clear he meant in his capacity as a campaign surrogate, and that he was responding to claims in the “dossier” of ongoing contacts. The New York Times, in covering the story, adds that the Obama White House “rushed to preserve” intelligence related to alleged Russian links with the Trump campaign. By “preserve” it really means “disseminate”: officials spread evidence throughout other government agencies “to leave a clear trail of intelligence for government investigators” and perhaps the media as well.

In summary: the Obama administration sought, and eventually obtained, authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign; continued monitoring the Trump team even when no evidence of wrongdoing was found; then relaxed the NSA rules to allow evidence to be shared widely within the government, virtually ensuring that the information, including the conversations of private citizens, would be leaked to the media.

            • Hey Malcolm,

I don’t think there is any proof in particular of wiretapping, despite various documents that may appear as though there is evidence of it, because this whole scene is littered with lying people, the FBI might be lying, Obama might be lying, who knows? The thing is, there are liars gallore in these political circles, the entire system is built on lies, it’s corrupt to the core and it’s filled with lying scum bags, insiders who lie and fabricate the truth. (You know this). I would assume it would be easy to produce a written document that looks as though it holds truth but we simply don’t know for certain what is truth and what is false. We also don’t know who actually writes these documents, anyone could be doing it. All you have is someones word agains’t anothers. Just because you find certain documents does not mean thay are factual and true, they may be fabricated.

However, while we are on the subject of "eavesdropping", let’s remind ourselves of the time Trump "wiretapped" phone lines at Mar-a-Lago, where apparently Trump listened in on phone calls at the club during the mid-2000s. I guess if this is true, then it’s a case of karma comming around for Donald Duck, wouldn’t you aggree? Basically, you get what you give, what goes around comes around.. and other clichés. I don’t believe everything I read on the Internet, so I also take the following document with a grain of salt, because there is no proof he actually did eavesdrop on phone calls, all there is, is just other peoples claims that he did. The real proof woud have to be so convincing that you could simply not deny it. Therefore, all of the "evidence" you are providing thus far regarding the Obama / Trump wiretapping scandle is merely hearsay, it’s only information received from other people which cannot be substantiated, so it’s nothing but a rumour. All you have is one group accusing another group of wiretapping, and of course, the other group denies it. Its just another chapter in the totally corrupt world of politics, remember, these political circles are filled to the brim with liars, cheats and frauds, there is not one honest politican in the world! Now read all about Trump and his "eavesdropping" escapades during the mid 2000s. Dont forget, this is the type of behaviour that Narcissists engage in, and Trump is a full on, no "holes" barred Narcissist!

Sources: Donald Trump Listened In On Phone Lines At Mar-A-Lago

              • Trump had a phone console near his bed that could connect to every phone in the estate.
              • Several workers said Trump used the equipment to secretly listen in on phone calls in the mid-2000s.

At Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach resort he runs as a club for paying guests and celebrities, Donald Trump had a telephone console installed in his bedroom that acted like a switchboard, connecting to every phone extension on the estate, according to six former workers. Several of them said he used that console to eavesdrop on calls involving staff.

Trump’s spokeswoman Hope Hicks responded to written questions with one sentence: “This is totally and completely untrue.”

The managing director of Mar-a-Lago, Bernd Lembcke, did not respond to emails. Reached by phone, he said he referred the email query to Trump’s headquarters and said, “I have no knowledge of what you wrote.”

At the 126-room Mar-a-Lago mansion, Trump keeps an apartment set aside for himself and his family, and rents the rest out to guests and members.

BuzzFeed News spoke with six former employees familiar with the phone system at the estate.

Four of them — speaking on condition of anonymity because they signed nondisclosure agreements — said that Trump listened in on phone calls at the club during the mid-2000s. They did not know if he eavesdropped more recently.

They said he listened in on calls between club employees or, in some cases, between staff and guests. None of them knew of Trump eavesdropping on guests or members talking on private calls with people who were not employees of Mar-a-Lago. They also said that Trump could eavesdrop only on calls made on the club’s landlines and not on calls made from guests’ cell phones.

Each of these four sources said they personally saw the telephone console, which some referred to as a switchboard, in Trump’s bedroom.

None of the four supports Trump’s bid for president. All said they enjoyed their time working at Mar-a-Lago.

Two other sources — the tycoon’s former butler and Mar-a-Lago’s former security director — said the console in Trump’s private apartment merely made it easier for Trump to call other rooms in the estate. They said their former boss either did not or would not listen in on calls. They both support Trump for president.

Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, is running at a time when Americans are increasingly concerned about surveillance — both by the government and by their employers. Some of his own campaign staff feared that their offices in Trump Tower in New York might be bugged, the New York Times reported last month. Trump has backed the NSA’s bulk collection of metadata, telling conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt that “I tend to err on the side of security.” Trump added, “I assume when I pick up my telephone people are listening to my conversations anyway, if you want to know the truth.”

Florida state law generally makes it a crime to intercept or record phone calls without the consent of everyone in a conversation, but legal experts said that the law might not apply to employees using business phones at work.

At Mar-a-Lago, “He listened in,” said one source with deep knowledge of the working of the phones and Trump’s phone use. This person added that workers were told to be aware of it.

For example, this source recalled a time when a staff member was on the phone with a club member. During the phone call, Trump called the staff member on another line to weigh in on the very issue that was being discussed. “There is no other way you could know what that conversation was about unless you were eavesdropping,” this source said.

A second source said he had direct knowledge that Trump “could pick up the phone in the bedroom and listen to any conversation that was going on.” This person said Trump used it “to eavesdrop.” This source said that some staff, who used a separate switchboard, knew when Trump was listening in on calls, because when he did, a light on that switchboard would come on.

A third source said that “it was acknowledged that when he was at the property there was a likelihood of him listening in on your call.” This person said it was clear when Trump was listening in, because the phones of some of the resort’s executives had a light that showed the extension that Trump was on. When the mogul joined in on a call, this source says, another light on these phones — but not on most other phones in the estate — would come on, indicating that Trump’s extension was active and on the call.

A fourth source said that Mar-a-Lago had a common type of company phone network that had a “barge-in” capability. “Barge-in” allows certain users to tap into and discreetly monitor other calls in the network. This source said Trump did occasionally monitor phone calls of employees but declined to give details.

The two former Mar-a-Lago officials who said there was no eavesdropping acknowledge that there was a switchboard in Trump’s room. One, who left Mar-a-Lago last year to pursue real estate, is John Velez, the former Mar-a-Lago director of security. “He had a switchboard,” Velez said, but “the switchboard is just for him to dial out.”

Velez called it “ridiculous” that Trump could listen in on phone calls. Instead, Velez said, Trump used the console just so that he would not have to use a dial pad or call the operator. “Trying to remember extensions to every suite is impossible,” he said.

Another supporter who knows about the console is the tycoon’s former butler, Anthony Senecal, who briefly drew the spotlight this year when on Facebook he called for President Barack Obama to be hung for treason.

Of the switchboard near Trump’s bed, Senecal said, “He’s got lines to all the rooms.” Senecal, like Velez, maintains that this was for simplicity’s sake. “A lot of his friends stayed at Mar-a-Lago and he didn’t want to go through the front desk.”

Senecal said he did not know whether the phone could be used by Trump to eavesdrop on calls. “As far as listening in I can’t believe he would ever do that. I don’t know that he ever did that. I can’t see him doing that.”

Trump... A Black Swan Hatched From The Sulfurous Corpse of Roy Cohn
        by Jonathan Zap

The Washington Post just published an excellent overview of what Trump’s false wiretapping claims mean. They also discuss the extreme irony of Trump’s tweeted accusation that Obama was engaging in “McCarthyism” when it was McCarthy’s notorious lawyer, Roy Cohn, who mentored Trump, and taught him his blunt force way of bullying —-a counterfactuating, counterpunching, flooding-the-zone-with-bullshit, never apologizing, distracting-from-a-vulnerability-with-an outrageous claim way of making your way in the world.

In the New York tabloidverse Trump felt like a Norse god wielding his Cohn-Hammer. And as they say, if your only tool is a hammer, the whole world looks like nails. And now Trump, his Norse godhood affirmed by electoral college and the trumpting of sycophants, strides across a world that sparkles with shiny new nails as far as his cyclopean vision can see. He wields his Cohn-Hammer more confidently than ever before, landing Tweets that reverberate throughout the world.

What Trump doesn’t know yet, but will soon discover, is that he has stepped into a sphere of power where the rules of physics are not quite the same as they were in the tabloidverse. In this sphere, for every blunt-force action, there is an exponentially greater and more varied array of reactions. You hit one nail and it sprouts into an encircling forest of razor wire. You hit another and recusals, resignations and congressional investigations sprout forth all around you.

Trump is like a grade-school bully, well-worn hammer grasped in tiny hands, showing up to a four-dimensional chess match with nuclear stakes.

But these are just metaphors and similes. In actuality, Trump is a giant, twittering black swan on steroids and airplane glue thudding into a crackle-glass citadel riddled with an infinite complexity of razor-sharp fracture planes.
