Why Not Paradise

What are we doingwith this supreme passion?Why are we sitting alonein the darknesswhen we have so much light?Why are we not livingin a paradise of together,all of us knowingwe are Love's divine children?Why don't we seewhat is there right in reach,as close as sweet blackberrieson a thorny bushfull of protective bees?My sweet loves,my sweet children,my grandparents,teachers,sweet hearts,my Friends:Why are we not living in paradise?Why do we not livein Eden?Oh yes,that's right:It must have changed to nightwhen we decidedthat it wasn't day anymore.We trashed heavenand now it's cleanup time,and eveyone is hung overfrom too much living.Let's get togetherand clean the house,let's make our gardenperfect again.Let's become the villageof elder childrenwho refused to grow upif that means adopting a frown.Let's become the elveswho create beautiful thingsin the depths of the forests,who look into time,into hearts,into minds.We have the power,we have the soul,we have the will,we just have to becomecommited to love.Just like any lover,when we treat each otherunconditionally,the lotus blooms.Let's water it:Let's regrowthe garden of paradiseand never know winterever again.
