Hello my friends,
The brief story that I am about to tell you has been stewing in my mind for awhile and I feel compelled to share a little more about myself with you as I have only recently joined this most intriguing site. Over the past year or so I have discovered that I have developed a talent for the written word.
Last year my wife and I were talking about what I wanted to do to get out of the restaurant industry which can be notoriously difficult. I told her half in jest that I could write fiction and be a big famous author like George R.R. Martin or Stephen King. Two day later I showed her my first short story called A Time to Forget a couple weeks later I had another short story ready to be edited and hopefully soon to be published. I began to do some research and found an editor/marketer which I promptly hired upon my families insistence. This is when I had a problem, my writing was classified as noir fiction which as the name implies means my writing was dark and somewhat gory. I realized as I began the editing process that I didn't want to write about demons and people surviving terrible experiences. The reason I couldn't do it anymore was because in order for me to write I have to visualize the story and the darker and more gruesome stories left a dark imprint on my psyche. And that needless to say wasn't at all what I wanted. My search for light and creative thought lead me to this awesome outlet of pure creative thought. This blog site has the most interesting and uplifting messages anywhere!!! Thanks to this site I have found a way to write a story that has the fiction I love without the darkness I am trying to shed. So thank you all for being here, you all inspire me and help show the path to free thought and free love. A time to forget is all paranormal with demons and angels and such.
My first story A Time To Forget is about jealously and its impact on the human experience. The story involves a man named Sam who did something horrible due to his jealously. This story is about the powers and illusions of the emotion. My second story is called Devon and Paula which involves a couple hiking on the Appalachian trail when they take a wrong turn and meet some locals which goes very badly. This is about survival and what we are all capable of if pushed too hard. I am happy to share these stories with those that wish to read them and share their thoughts and comments with me.
