This blog will feature three new patient cases to be looked at and reviewed.  These three cases will be looked at in accordance with my Medical Astrology Flowchart. These three new patient cases are now added to a collection of patient cases for future analysis via the Medical Astrology Flowchart that I have developed based on my experiences as a nurse.  This Flowchart may be seen below:

ANALYSIS

Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth will be blacked-out.  A mean time of 12:00 PM will be used on all of these three cases, and Zero Degrees Aries Houses will be the housing system used.  This means that traditional meanings of the houses cannot be used due to unknown time of birth; the Zero Degrees Aries Houses system reveals planets and luminaries in their ruling signs. This also means that there is no use for the Midheaven and Ascendant since these points move one degree at a rate of approximately every four minutes. The Moon is also questionable for use since it moves at a rate of 0.5 degrees per hour.  Thus, the analysis of aspects (along with planets and/or luminaries in their ruling signs) are key astrology approaches if the time of birth is unknown.  Aspects of major importance in medical astrology are Conjunctions, Oppositions, Squares, Sesquiquadrates, and Semi-Squares.  Aspects of minor importance in medical astrology are Trines and Sextiles; Semi-Sextiles and Quincuxes are definitely not to be ignored in medical astrology since these two aspects define a minor tension.

Patient I

Patient I was born during the timeframe when some of the most important musicians in rock music were born.  This timeframe is discussed in my book "Basic Principles of Horoscope Interpretation." Drawn in the green box above, Uranus Trine Neptune is almost exact (as is Saturn Sesquiquadrate Neptune).  This patient had various chronic issues related to old age, and these types of issues are described in my flowchart under the description of Pisces and Neptune. 

I was able to get a time for this event (below).  Patient I claimed to see demons in his bedroom at home. 

This patient was having electrolyte and dehydration issues that were common with old age.  According to my Medical Astrology Flowsheet, electrolyte issues are common with Virgo / Mercury and old age issues are common with Pisces / Neptune.  Note (above in red drawings) that at the time this patient claimed to see demons in his bedroom, a transiting Mercury Conjunction Neptune placement (in 2022) was forming an Opposition to his natal Neptune placement in Virgo.  This Opposition to natal Neptune was forming a T-Square with the Moon at the time the patient claimed to see demons; the Moon may represent "the home" or "one's personal space away from one's business space."

Drawn in green above, there is a strong transit of Saturn Square Uranus.  Uranus has "hallucinations" listed under it per Flowsheet, and Saturn rules Vitamin D issues (and this patient was having Vitamin D issues in addition to  electrolyte issues).  The patient was seeing hallucinations that brought forth much conflict; Saturn and Uranus do not get along and are involved in a Square transit.

Patient J

Drawn in red boxes below, Patient J was born during the Uranus Conjunction Pluto transit (in the sky) during the 1960's (with a Saturn Conjunction Chiron transit forming and Opposition to this Uranus Conjunction Pluto transit).  This generation defined "The Baby Busters" (as opposed to the WWII born generation [i.e. their parents] known as "The Baby Boomers").  The Baby Busters would be known for their quick quash of the glory days of U.S.A. hippiedon (via punk and progressive rock music, alcohol, and not turning the other cheek), and this generation will also be known for the quash of peaceful black power movements in the U.S.A. (via rap music and widespread drug sales [with accompanying neighborhood violence]).   

Drawn in green above, Neptune forms a strong Semi-Square aspect with the Sun. I have noticed that drug addiction issues can manifest when any of the major aspects used in medical astrology (i.e. Conjunctions, Oppositions, Squares, Sesquiquadrates, and Semi-Squares) are forming between the Sun and Neptune. This individual reportedly had alcoholism issues; drug addiction problems fall under Pisces / Neptune and "general health and well-being" fall under Leo / Sun.

The Sun Square Mars placement (in green above) is not a strong Square, but I have noticed the Sun Square Mars placement to be prominent in horoscopes with people who usually have some history of violence or involvement with physical activity.  I also notice that people with Sun Square Mars may have some sort of weapon protection with them.

Now on to the event below.  Patient J reportedly threatened a relative with a weapon.  Threatening somebody with bodily harm is a social relationship issue, and this falls under the meaning of Aquarius / Uranus.  

The type of weapon used in the threat was not described; the threat made by Patient J reportedly took place at a social event (and social events are ruled by Venus). The Mars Semi-Square Saturn transit (drawn in blue above) may imply that a knife or a gun was involved in the threat; Mars/Saturn placements usually involve guns.

Venus rules social events, and Aquarius / Uranus is associated with social relationship issues. The transiting Square of Venus and Uranus falls on the natal Nodal Plane (drawn in green above), forming a T-Square on the Nodal Plane.  This strongly suggests that Patient J may have caused some sort of a major social scene with his threatening of a relative with a weapon at a social event.

Drawn in red above, the transit of Neptune Conjunction Saturn adds more tension to the event.  Because Saturn and Neptune do not get along, this may indicate a possible conflict concerning drug or alcohol involvement (since Neptune rules intoxicants) with authority figures (since Saturn rules authority figures). 

Patient K 

Patient K is from the same Baby Boomer generation as Patient I, and was also born under the Uranus Trine Neptune placement.  The strong concern to be noted with the chart is the natal Saturn Square Pluto placement (drawn in red below; note that Saturn is on the Nodal Plane).  This defines medical astrology areas related to Saturn and Pluto are to be scrutinized with this placement. 

The Grand Trine of Uranus, Neptune, and Mars (drawn in green above) appears to represent possible scientific activity; the patient was reportedly a retired scientist (and I cannot confirm this).  The Trine between Uranus and Neptune is almost exact; this bears special caution due to the deceptive nature of Neptune (regardless of the harmony associated with the Trine).

The chart below shows one event that took place with this patient, which was a lumbar compression fracture.  Bones and the skeleton fall under Capricorn / Saturn per the Medical Astrology Flowsheet, and Saturn is involved with two transits for this event (which include one natal Saturn transit and one Saturn transit to the natal chart).

 Drawn in green above is Saturn Square Jupiter. These two planets do not get along with each other, but Saturn and Jupiter usually can "make some sort of deal." Patient K had hardware placed to correct the spinal fracture.

The Uranus Conjunction Saturn transit (drawn in red above) forms a T-Square with the transiting Nodal Plane.  Uranus and Saturn absolutely do not get along with each other; this transit seems to indicate the compression fracture itself (while the Saturn Square Jupiter transit [in green above] may represent the "remedy" for the compression fracture).

Patient K will later develop a neuroendocrine tumor while recuperating from the compression fracture.  Tumors are associated with chronic diseases associated with age, and this falls under Pisces / Neptune on the Flowchart (and note the Neptune Opposition Neptune transit drawn in green below).  Neuroendocrine tumors are noted for elevated or lowered hormone levels, and this shift in hormone levels is also a chronic disease usually associated with aging.

Drawn in red above, note the transiting T-Square of Saturn falling on the natal Uranus placement. The central nervous system is ruled by Aquarius / Uranus, and there was definitely a disruption with the nervous system due to the presence of a tumor. 

Patient K was discharged after this new diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumor.  There was outpatient scheduled followup for this patient concerning this tumor, and it appeared to be a planned surgical intervention.
