Seems to be a hot and polarizing topic ... and maybe there is a misunderstanding because they have just a different notion of time or words than we. But that's not the point for me.
And I understand a bit those who have been waiting for years and the guys did not come. Maybe the following is easy to say, as I just 4 months ago discovered this whole thing, and in the beginning I hoped for the ETs from Sirius just to show up, too.
My view is:
Nobody will come rom the sky and "rescue" me. Ever.
And nobody needs to do so.
Because I am developping my own skills, my own strength, I go my own way.
I love my friends from the Galactic Federation, and maybe they show off or they give me a sign in a dream.
But they don't have to.
We as mankind have the task to develop a new earth, a new society, with love and peace. Here on earth.
If there is an ascension (and maybe there is), that's fine. I will not resist, I think. And I will even prepare.
But I don't need to. There is such a lot on this physical earth that I can do, that we all can do. It starts with how I treat the people next to me, how I think, what I visualize, the actions I take.
It was about a month ago, as I understood: To depend on a "galactic" being would make me weak. So it's for my best that they don't come now.
They might come when I am ready for it ... and this will be at a time when I don't need them any more. When I'm not "needy". Because this way we could really meet on the same level - from human to human, and be real friends.
I think it's wise for them to wait until this moment and to give me the chance to develop my own strenght and harmony within.

I have zero interest in the GFL, not that I don't believe there is a similar kind of organization. Just that it is clear to me that no one on Earth speaks for them and these channellings are mostly BS. At best all this stuff is just a distraction from what human beings need to do.
Indeed, the "I" in my post was meant symbolic for mankind, too. But I cannot speak for all of mankind, so I used the "I".
The best we can do is starting here and now, where we live, with the people we live, to make a difference. It's not always easy, because sometime it feels greater to "save the world".
But if we build a room of love around us, literally and symbolic, each one of us - the world will take care of itself. If I rescue myself, I rescue the world ... and vice versa. If I clean a lake, I clean the liquid in my very cells at the same time, and vice versa. OK, a bit exaggerated maybe, but in the core I belief it's like this.
To make the Galactics arrive, it might help to visualize their arrival in the best colors, the best feelings you have. (And without the "needy" thing, 'cause complaining brings them farther away).
Just see, hear and feel how beautiful this day will be ....

There is a good expression I've heard before: We are Light Workers, not Light Waiters.
We can't keep expecting someone to "save" us, it's our choices and who we choose to be inside that saves us. It's how we treat each other that saves us. It's the compassion we show to the Earth and out fellow "beings" that saves us.
Do I "Believe"? YES I do!
But that doesn't mean that someone else will, we are all on a different path, and we are all more Precious and Beautiful than can be seen on the suface. We have to let that Beauty shine though... :-)
We have all been Sick in the past - and even in this Life, Love is the Cure. We are all Healers if we choose to be.
Personally, I agree with you. While mankind is teetering on the brink of collapse and is at risk of ruining the world, it was caused by all of us. Everyone is at fault here for letting the virus of destruction infect us this far. It is our mess to clean up, and I would hate to other beings do it for us instead of letting us suffer (and learn) from our mistakes. I think we should be given at least a choice on whether or not we want assistance.
