i experience lack of sleep in october 2008, and i struggled with it as i had to go to work each day, it lasted 2 weeks and then i just burnt out, and had to have 3 months off sick, my head took weeks to feel normal again, i used to fall asleep and within minutes i would wake up with my heart pounding, i didnt like it at all, there was a full moon and it was like someone was shining a torch through the blinds on the window and was waking me up, now i have a few hours solid sleep most nights and through out the night about 8 hours but broken sleep, but at least im getting 8 hours.
