Denial of Love

It's not so hardfor hearts to go dark.The beautiful womensmirk and laugh at my lovebehind bugeyed sunglassesreflecting the evening light.The warmth turns to coldness,the love into pain,slowly dyingas I sit aloneevery night,watching the sun set.I deserve better than this,everyone does.This love is right and real,but only when accepted.The denial of lovemakes it hollow,creates a chasmin all our hearts,all our reality.The denial of lovetakes away all its power,turns it on its headlike an upside-down pentagram,like the reversed and twisted svastika.The denial of lovemakes hearts go dark,although it's not so difficultto light them back upby accepting what they are.
