The date for the coronation of Charles III is May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey.  European royalty traditionally used renaissance astrology methods, and it is assumed the royal astrologer would use such astrology methods today (but we really don't know).  This posting will look at renaissance astrology methods applied for 12:00 pm of that date, since the time is unknown.  This means the Ascendant and Midheaven cannot be used, and the Moon is questionable for use.

Let's look at the chart using zero degrees Aries houses, since we can't use the Midheaven or the Ascendant.

Renaissance astrology places heavy emphasis on the position of the Moon, and the Moon aspects are depicted in the red boxes above.  The Moon is in a decent Trine with Mars, and the possible Quincunx with Jupiter is a possible lucky addition.  Neptune wasn't discovered at the time renaissance astrology flourished, but yes, there is a water Trine going on that involves Mars, the Moon, and Neptune. On the negative side, the Moon is +/- 15 degrees relative to an Opposition with the Sun.  This may have a negative impact on not just the general public (which is a traditional meaning of the Moon), but also those who are "family or who are close and 'like family'" (which is also a traditional meaning of the Moon).  And yes, both the family and the general public may have some sort of negative impact; Full Moons are traditionally not an ideal time for "a new beginning" (which is traditionally symbolized with the New Moon).  This is especially true if it involves the general public and family.

Drawn in green boxes above, the Venus Sextile Jupiter placement appears to be an aspect favoring relationships, but star of Betelgeuse (which is Conjunction with Venus) is more associated with war and military victory in conflict.  This Sextile has favorable traits but it also contains risks of danger and possible violence.  And while Neptune was not a consideration in renaissance astrology's time, Neptune is forming a very hard Square with Venus and a very hard Semi-Sextile with Jupiter. Venus Square Neptune may indicate dishonesty or negative peer pressure, and Neptune combinations with Jupiter are often seen as a "speculation" of some kind. And thus there may be something going on behind the coronation scenes that involves risky activity(s) of some kind. This is especially true if such activity is financially related.

Finally, note the blue boxes above that define a sharp Mars Sesquiquadrate Saturn aspect.  The aspect of Sesquiquadrate was not recognized in renaissance astrology, but I have told students and forum attendees that this aspect must be looked at if it is strong (and especially if within 2 degrees).  Mars and Saturn are old enemies, and this Mars Sesquiquadrate Saturn aspect has violent overtones to it.  This aspect may possibly define sharp conflicts between workers and authority figures.  Rennaissance astrology also defines Saturday as the day of Saturn, and note that the day of the week was used extensively in renaissance astrology. Infamous renaissance astrologer John Dee picked January 15, 1559 for the coronation of Elizabeth I, and this day was on a Sunday (which was viewed as the day for the Sun and Leo, and Leo was viewed as the sign for nobility and royalty).  The coronation of Charles III takes place on Saturday, and while Saturn represents authority and restrictions, it is in a Conjunction with the fortunate star of Fomalhaut. This star usually defines lasting honors (and may work with an aging Charles III), but there is also a risk of undesirable associates with this star.  Interestingly, Johnny Cash and Kurt Cobain both had the Sun Conjunction Fomalhaut placement, and both men had friends and lovers that were involved in very wicked activity.  Finally, note that Astrologer Vivian Robson wrote negative descriptions of Saturn Conjunction Fomalhaut, including losses to one's enemies and also one's family getting cheated out of their rights. 

Conclusion

The coronation chart for Charles III has a few alarming red flags on it.  Chief of these is the position of the Moon in a strong Full Moon phase, as this Moon phase is not desired for "a new beginning." Also alarming is the hard Venus Square Neptune position (which would not have been recognized per renaissance astrology methods, but which may have great meaning with modern astrology methods).  The Venus Sextile Jupiter placement ("opportunity for good relations and relationships") is thus in jeopardy with Neptune aspecting Venus with a hard Square.  Mars Sesquiquadrate Saturn is not favorable for labor relations with authority.  The Saturn Conjunction star of Fomalhaut placement may or may not help Charles III; Vivian Robson defined it as a negative omen.  This does not mean that the reign of Charles III will be short-lived, but there is a concern with this Saturn position concerning legacy (and this is especially true if one wants to be remembered as being similar to Elizabeth I or Elizabeth II, and nothing like Edward I).
