Indigo Dreams - Chapter One

Hi all this is a chapter from one of my books that I'm writing, take a moment and get a gander and give me your opinion. my friend says its crap and that NO ONE would like it, but I've had other people read it who say its divine...you be the judge!?~_~Indigo DreamsChapter OneI have no parents -- I make the heavens and earth my parents. Each life needs it own quiet place. What is the samurai trying to convey here and do we truly get it? If there is no authority figure, no person to guide you, to look up to, to give you knowledge, wisdom, experience no confidant no one to vent to no one who understands you what do you do?One of the greatest flaws within modern society is a lack there of, our hero’s have all been unmasked and brought into the light. The hero’s of yesterday have been replaced with inanimate objects in some cases and in poor community’s gangs, drugs and the thug lifestyle, the way of the criminal. Robin Hood and Zorro are the works of over zealot writers with active imaginations; these are works of fiction and are to be left behind when you complete the third grade! But our modern society is failing, we have unleashed a technological nightmare which if left unchecked will only consume us as our children and even adults are being trained to disconnect from each other and connect to technological splendor-hood. Our hero’s have been replaced with the ipod, cell phone, laptop and video game system, where we play fictitious games, pretending to be fictitious characters defeating the unholy odds, beating the bad guy, getting the girl and looking good while doing it, but where will these lead us and what will be the consequences in the long run?Back when I was a kid we looked up to sports figures and even idolized them to a degree they were athletes who had talent, who had heart, who knew how to play the game. Modern civilization has made today’s athletes, singers and celebrities mini gods, they are even more than the hero’s of yesterday they are beyond super hero’s as idolization, respect and admiration has been replaced by adoration, reverence, homage and saint hood! What kind of society produces a human being who may have talent but turns down a job because a $1,000,000 wasn’t enough money? The old principles of honor, respect, gratitude, pride, humility, compassion, kindness and temperance have been replaced by greed, stupidity, ignorance, selfishness, inconsideration, self absorption, lust, irreverence, isolation and brutality.Good old fashioned values are being forgotten as our society is turning out en mass a multitude of sluggish, lazy, slugs and brutes who are disconnected from themselves, lacking self identity, self awareness and real knowledge about what life really is all about.2 Timothy 3:1-5“But mark my words: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lover of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, having no love for those who are good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.”Does it sound familiar? Are people so lost that they can’t see the forest through the trees? Sure it’s easy to complain and remember when one went to Catholic School or got dragged off to church by the folks, loathing those long sermons and dreading every minute of it. One might not even believe in “God” and shake ones head at the thought of the Bible and the words contained therein, considering it more a story book than the word of God.But what happens when ones hero’s or parents or parent like figures i.e. elders, spouses, older siblings, aunts, uncles, teachers, counselors and mentors are no more, what is to be the price then? When our society is dragged through the mud and it looses its sense of self what then? Who will save us and do we really want to be saved?Could the samurai be trying to tell us that we need to remember the Earth and that we only have one planet, our grandma and that we can’t take her for granted? Is the samurai trying to communicate the fact that when our hero’s are all gone it doesn’t matter that we have our planet and each other? Perhaps the samurai is trying to convince us that we can plug into something better and find a connection with each other instead of being disconnected, disassociated and disillusioned with society, the world and all our problems wrapped up in our pathetic little life and get back to the basics? Perhaps the samurai is telling us that we can unplug ourselves from our life of technological splendor hood and plug into reality? What is truly being forgotten, neglected and lost in the ages of antiquity are values and principles that do have a part in our modern society if we’d merely take a moment, dust them off and see them for what they really are. Our world is in peril and much is at stake when we consider the dangers we face with global warming, overpopulation, famine, disease, social and ethnic issues and war. There is no little book of secrets which is going to be discovered and give us the rude awakening, that cold slap in the face to get our attention or reveal to us what we don’t already know, nor will it reveal the answers that all of us are looking for in some form or another. There is no band aid which we can use to patch up the situation and with a kiss make things better, so then what will? So what then?I often hear people complain and ask in wonder what the government, what their local city counsel or if any one any where is going to do anything about all these problems? They muddle and bemoan looking to stir up the troops but to no avail. If we want something done we’re going to have to get up off our duffs and do it ourselves, each of us is going to have to do our part and each of us has a part to play in things which shall soon transpire. In the dawn of the 21st century I heard that the “New Earth” had been born and that with the dawning of this new world we would evolve. If change like teaching an old dog a new trick is to come about we have to move forward, we have to develop a new way of thinking a new way of looking at things like viewing a painting from a new perspective. In order to enable this we have to build a solid foundation, like when one builds a house it must be built on solid rock if not then the first difficult challenge or adversity that comes ones way will blow your house down and possibly wash you away.Mathew 7:24-27“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and outs them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house in the sand. The rain came down, the stream rose and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell with a great crash.”Part of the process to develop this new way of thinking is to rewire the brain. One must learn to take what one has learned be it good or bad and use it to be better human beings. The objective is to not only learn from the bad things that happen, but use it too move forward. Cherish and appreciate the good things in ones life, learn from the bad and use it to better one self. Many individuals fail at this process creating emotional baggage which keeps the soul from evolving, keeping the individual from moving forward. The process creates a stagnant cycle of recrimination making the individuals life experience a revolving door of unnecessary mental and emotional suffering and misery.

  • Ok this is the thing... You are trying to write a book on indigo children. Which is a fact of the new children of earth. The way it is writen make's me see that this is your own opinion. If you are writing an informative book it has to be writing in a way that expresses many points of view. Do more research on the subject and try to write as informative not based on your perception.
    • I don't know or would say it's about Indigo Children, but I get what you're saying. This stuff just popped out...but you're right Ann there's a season for everything.^_^
  • This was a spur of the moment project it just popped into my head one day and for the next (72) hours all I could do was write. I can't seem to find the rithym to write this stuff anymore for the time being, after my friend said it was crap, it's just not in me.~_~
