This discussion is mostly aimed at those who are advanced and are mature.
I'm wanting to know who else is feeling that they are just not that interested in relationships or sex anymore.
I have been fine with established lovers here or there over the years without getting right into a relationship with them. (Based on mutual respect and trust). However, it was surprising to just turn off meat and animal products overnight, now I'm overcoming alcohol cravings and am conscious (and now desire to) giving it up altogether just as I always knew I'd become vegetarian again. I'm wondering if chocolate is next in attempt to keep eating only the purest of foods.
I've been meditating everyday and it's doing wonders.
But, I have a hunch that I'm not as needy now and whether I'm going to manage? I really enjoyed a beautiful night alone (Saturday) last night as I made an organic salad and did my own thing. I got up and saw the stars out this morning and enjoyed the peaceful surrounds.
I'm not sure if I'm wanting to join my energies with someone that is not vibrating at the same rate anymore. We have all had dysfunction but joining with someone who isn't trying to attain to be spiritual - you just don't know really.
Any thoughts? If you've been single and on your path alone and managed well, I'd love to hear.

Welcome to the site! I'm sure you'll find loads of information here to guide you.
After my divorce I rediscovered men and was fine with the casual relationships. But your instincts will guide you for now as to what choices you make. Many people marry or are in a relationship because they (or we) are co-dependant. It's great to face it alone for a while, have our own sanctuary and know that we can return to that. I try not to allow anyone to violate that space anymore. If they come in, they must come with honour (flowers or a gift) as I feed them or whatever.

I am in a similar place as you. I am all of a sudden quite content being alone and I really have no desire to be in a relation; I don't crave sex like I use to; I feel like I am not in need of that connection anymore. I have been having some amazing moments in my day where my spirit goes into meditation without effort...I find myself being drawn to sit and meditate, talk to God, talk to my star family, and just be in my spiritual self. My star family has been making themselves even more present and my body has been going through some intense cycles....for example, yesterday my temp spiked, body aches, headache, and I slept literally all day...today, Im fine. I also crave vegetables like never before-I actually have disliked them all my life up till now-with these current changes, I want a variety of food I never liked. I can relate to how you are feeling; I am comforted knowing I am not alone..

That's interesting you find you want to meditate more. I'm getting the same feeling where before I wasn't disciplined enough. I hope my star family come to me in meditation.
And vegetables - yes can relate. Have you switched to organic? It's almost like becoming conscious of the raw food diet. DL Zeta mentions this in one of her books and she began to acquire knowledge. I like her writings.

It's very interesting to have this discussion, because I have to say I am 27 years old, single and still haven't had sex yet even tho I play with myself and watch porn sometimes and do like some sexual acts which I am very interested in.
You see with me the affection love is the most important aspect in what love is, sex is like 1% of what love is and people say I know what love is because I have had loads of sex with different people. But in reality they don't because they don't understand the spiritual side of sex and only the lustful way.
You see I would totally say from my heart I am that spiritual, romantic lover in heart and soul. Sometimes I really want some experience but only with someone who is spiritual understanding and interested in the spiritual aspect of things.
I have actually talked to a few girls interested in what I am into and some are even into what I am into, but then they just disappear as if I said something wrong or maybe it's just that there energy level is not the same in an understanding way.
But I would say, I am lucky for being the beautiful, deep loving soul in this body as of who I am, because I have seen what sexually lust does to people, the way they look at people, flirt because they want something out of it and instead connecting to them in unconditional affection love way.
I do give loads of cuddles out at work tho, to mostly females and they all think different from all the other guys that work there and which is what I like being is just being myself and expressing my love in this way.

The girls you are talking to, are just reacting out of fear. Most people live in fear on this Earth. It's amazing. Generally there seems more women out there into new age than guys so you do stand a better chance.
I have guys that pursue me but it's only to take something from me and out of me and this is the energy I'm becoming sensitive to. I want that energy for me now.

I too identify, specially last wednesday at the bar with some friends.
Thing is, when I'm out at night with friends I often see couples and wish I had someone to bring along you know, but that feeling has been decreasing for a while.
What happened last wednesday was that I realized I was comfortable, happy and not longing for anything else in that moment.
Maybe you should change "relationships" to "romantic relationships". A lot of people get frustrated cuz they can't find their "pther half" but arent we complete? I believe we are, we are indeed a whole, not someone's half, and we can offer a lot already the way we are, to the ones around us.
I think that the whole relationship thing get people into trouble.
People are looking for completion outside of themselves. This leads to all sorts of strife, ownership attitudes, control etc.
For a long time, I've been single but had a 'friend' come in and 'enhance' my life. Just someone to have fun with while I get on with my journey. But now it's a different feeling or level as if I don't want to merge the energies anymore.
