Paradoxes, my friend, paradoxes... we are alone, yet not... all one, yet individuals... both true in their own realms. It seems that facts may contradict one another, yet both still posses validity. God is God, Soul is made of God's truth and very being, yet...is soul God? I'm going to go practice my favorite viola for a while....:) caio
We are the one.
I AM the many.
Is soul God?
How can soul not be God.
We exist as billions of individual soul in a multi dimensional broth that is a single entity we call the universe.
In a broth you can't distinguish between ingredients.
the different ingredients meld into a flavour.
In the same way, souls meld and give the universe it's unique flavour.
The 3d Earth experience gives us the opportunity to distill the broth into individual ingredients.
and make the necessary alterations to recipe before cooking.
I may be splitting hairs here, but I consider the slight, but real and significant difference between being God and being of God. I think of soul as being created by God, but not the other way around. God, the unknowable and primary creator and source, distinct from its creation, independent of it, existent prior to it. God is. Soul is of God. I, as always, may indeed be in error here...just thinking.
maybe soul is like a perfect, exact clone of the original God??? I think both transcend 3D time and space, but I also think there may be infinite planes of pure spirit in which maybe even God itself is still growing, changing and "rising" into ever finer truth and reality. boggle boggle boggle beyond beyond beyond......

Maybe God is simply a Great Soul. Maybe there is simply an Ocean of Love and mercy and bliss we call "God". A conscious ocean which is the source of all consciousness and self-awareness. These thought are why I study music, harmony and play viols. They have their own truth and are intrinsically incapable of lying. Harmony can seem complex and difficult to understand deeply and well, but in its own truth, it is simple and real. Maybe that is why children often have an inborn knack for it that many lack as adults.
God is a great soul.
And thou art so.

When you stand alone you are the master of your life .... however path to enlightenment you can never do alone ... and in reality it's not a big deal, everyone on this world get those moments they just calls them differently (revelation, inspiration, aspiration, vision, lessons is a form of enlightenment and etc) and even in Zen: before enlightenment caring wood and water and after enlightenment caring wood and water ... here you go ;) The challenge is for you to learn how to stay alone with yourself, without loosing yourself.
Enlightenment is not a revelation. Or aspiration. Or vision, Or or or ...
It is a state of being that encompasses all these things.
When you look inside and there is no more dark.
In my humble opinion of course.
Nothing changes.
And everything is different.
The final step is to lose your self in God.
Alone.
And discover peace there.
How else can it be?
