So I was just trying to kill time hoping that soon I'll be able to go to bed. LOL!! And I started looking at my hands. And I thought wouldn't it be cool to have a post about something completely off topic potentially funny and crazy. LOL!! Differences. What were you born with that stands out? I'll start of course. HAHAHA!!
Mine is being born with clubbed thumbs. I can say I went to research the subject and it's all a bunch of bull. Here is one that I found. LOL
According to Wikipedia ‘clubbed thumb’ used to be a sign of descent from European royal blood lines. Could there be any truth to this? According to the science – as a way of judging blood lines the clubbed (or stub) thumbs trait might be ideal because of its expression (i.e. it shows up relatively often in the few families who have it).
I have found out that the technical name is brachydactyly type D (BDD). The clubbed thumb is defined as a shortening and broadening of the the end bone or phalanx of the thumb. They are also trying to determine if there is a gene for the trait.
It is a common trait, aproximately 1 million Americans will have clubbed thumbs (occurring in 0.4% of whites and 0.1% of blacks in the US). In Israel it occurs in 1.6% of Jews and 3% of Arabs. It is also found a lot in Japan (this info from the book Abnormal Skeletal Phenotypes, which you can find on google books (http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=oG5Fn4Ucus4C).
As well as finding some that were saying its a genetic flaw and blah blah blah.!! Its a thumb people just because its different doesn't make it flawed. I however in all my 31 years have only met 4 other people with thumbs like mine. So I don't think they are as common as this says.
So now its your turn. What were you born with that people never really could understand? I can say I'm so proud to be surrounded by people that love me for who I am. The lesson here is your differences make you you. It does not matter what other people think. Love the fact that you have something about you that stands out from the rest. I know I always have. : )

lol oh what, i never ever questioned such a weird topic of conversation before to do with my thumbs, i have two thumbs just like that, weird i have no idea why i responded to that, just a funny way to reply to this unusual topic of idle chut chat.
