Here is a collection of interesting quotes from scientists, authors, researchers, NASA insiders and star-gazers relating to the enigmatic and often inexplicable nature of the moon:Isaac Asimov,American author and professor of biochemistry at Boston University and Science Fiction writer. Asimov was one of the most prolific writers of all time."We cannot help but come to the conclusion that the Moon by rights ought not to be there. The fact that it is, is one of the strokes of luck almost too good to accept… Small planets, such as Earth, with weak gravitational fields, might well lack satellites… … In general then, when a planet does have satellites, those satellites are much smaller than the planet itself. Therefore, even if the Earth has a satellite, there would be every reason to suspect… that at best it would be a tiny world, perhaps 30 miles in diameter. But that is not so. Earth not only has a satellite, but it is a giant satellite, 2160 miles in diameter. How is it then, that tiny Earth has one? Amazing.""The Moon, which has no atmosphere and no magnetic field, is basically a freak of nature"Read More @ http://www.redicecreations.com/article.php?id=26468

    ???????????

    Moon magnetic field mystery~space.com

    Moon has atmosphere~nasa.gov

    Diurnal temperature range: >100 K to <400 K (roughly -250 F to +250 F) Total mass of atmosphere: ~25,000 kg Surface pressure (night): 3 x 10-15 bar (2 x 10-12 torr) Abundance at surface: 2 x 105 particles/cm3
      Estimated Composition (particles per cubic cm): Helium 4 (4He) - 40,000 ; Neon 20 (20Ne) - 40,000 ; Hydrogen (H2) -
    35,000 Argon 40 (40Ar) - 30,000 ; Neon 22 (22Ne) - 5,000 ; Argon 36 (36Ar) - 2,000 Methane - 1000 ; Ammonia - 1000 ; Carbon Dioxide (CO2) - 1000 Trace Oxygen (O+), Aluminum (Al+), Silicon (Si+) Possible Phosphorus (P+),
    Sodium (Na+), Magnesium (Mg+)

Composition of the tenuous lunar atmosphere is poorly known and variable, these are estimates of the upper limits of the nighttime ambient atmosphere composition. Daytime levels were difficult to measure due to heating and outgassing of Apollo surface experiments.
    • Yah, and freaks of nature never happen right?? :)  Our intellect does not have the current capacity to understand all of the mysteries in this Universe, but someday we will.

I would recommend trying to see the Beauty in things instead of demonizing them.  That in itself will raise your vibration.

      • A freak of nature is only something in which we don't comprehend...there is no such beast!

I believe our intellect is perfectly capable of understanding all of the idiosyncrasies of the Universe, it is our belief systems which are lacking.

The true reality is nothing but a frothing energy "pool" of unlimited possibilities. It is the act of consciously observing this "pool" which manifests a particular "view of reality". Now add the collective of viewpoints and we have a mutually agreed upon "collective reality" which our personal reality must navigate within if we choose to remain attached to said collective and agree upon the collective consensus as "what is truth".

I'm with you, Beautiful is much more pleasant to experience :)

  • Krishna - I don't know why you have such an issue with our Moon.

    Other planet's have Moons right?

If the Earth were the only one with a Moon maybe there would be some validity to your point, but infinite amounts of planets in this Universe have Moons, some even have multiple Moons and smaller Planets around them!! :)

The Moon is amazing and Beautiful ~ It's as much a part of our Experience on this Planet as anything else...
