  I believe this to an extent. I do not believe we are all starseeds, and I believe people are quick to grab this lable because they feel it will bring purpose and meaning to their otherwise meaningless lives. However, I do believe the ones who have awoken (to spirituality, to 2012, to ascension, to the paranormal) are doing so with a purpose. Those who are supposed to know will know.

  What kind of paranormal experiences are you referring to?
  Do you believe that the sudden onset of those experiences "woke you" as a starseed?
  
  If it doesn't mean anything, why are people so quick to lable themselves as such? I don't go around proclaiming to be a brunette in the same fashion as many apparent starseeds do. If it is so 'matter of fact', like you say, why do you think is it so important to some people to be recognised as such?
  
  If it is so matter of fact, why don't all starseeds KNOW they are starseeds? Why is there so much doubt.

    Sometimes it can be a relief to find a label that seems to fit or explain who/how you are. Perhaps that is why people are quick to label themselves as such - they relate to the concept and it seems to fit them.
    
    I know I have found various labels/boxes that have helped me to understand my own nature and why I am as I am. eg Aquarian, thinker/intuitor, 7. These concepts can be helpful in understanding ourselves, as long as we don't interpret them too literally or let them limit our ideas of our own potential.

  Moonflower, no, we are not all starseeds. a starseed is a soul who has lived its vast majority of lives on another planet or planets and has come here to earth to assist in the upliftment of the earth. Starseeds usually but not always come from a place of a higher vibration. The vast majority of people on this planet have lived most of their incarnations on this planet so are therefor not starseeds.
  As for whether or not we know we are starseeds, its just something we know.

    so how do you know that you're not just "wanting" be to a starseed??
    
    Looking for something more meaningful in your life and attaching yourself to the starseed bandwagon?

      These questions are at the heart of this dilemma. Does simply believing you are a startseed make it so, or just create the mental illusion, enforced by your imagination that such could be the case, but may not necessarily be so. In the end, does it matter if you are a startseed or not? If you want meaning and purpose in life, that is something you can and have to create for yourself. Don't let anyone else tell you what you can or can't do, who you are or who you aren't. Our decisions and actions make us who we are, not the labels that others throw around. Startseed or not, you can be as big a force for good in the world as you choose to be. You could be a starseed X 1000, but if don't back that up with actual actions and decisions, does it really do you any good?

        I absolutely agree with you!! This is really what sparked my questions in the first place. I sometimes get the feeling that people call themselves starseeds and think that it's enough to just BE a starseed and not actually DO anything to back that up.

          ya I agree....spiritual consciousness should include social consciousness. I'm convinced that there's plenty of starseeds out there who don't even know they are one.
          One thing i forgot to say is ...I have a touch of clairsentience ..I've been running from it most of my life...but recently (not always) I'm able to point out other starseeds ...just by feeling.
          Like I would walk up to an acquaintance or friendly neighbour and something inside me just drives me to ask "have you been seeing 11:11 alot?" or similar.

            I've had this sort of experience identifying other lightworkers too. Before I knew they considered themselves lightworkers or starseeds, I had already had the thought that they seemed like one. Not sure where it came from, but this has happened with maybe a half dozen or so acquaintances who are now friends.
