Amazing documentary showing that Plants are alive and behave like Animals. All life requires food, you cannot escape this reality by eating plants. At least animals get to move around, they are more privledged if you ask me, but I wouldn't want to eat either exclusively. I suppose you can escape this with science, Japanese sewer steaks, etc, but I would highly recommend staying away from GMOs, processed foods, etc. Look the point is, we are part of nature, and are basically the same. It's not as thought Carnivores are evil, or vice versa.

Cancer is strongly related to excessive animal protein intake per requested info and research from the Chinese government. Humans do have enzymes that can break down animal protein, but the statistics show that vegans and vegetarians do live longer than the "meat and potatoes" crowd. I'm in the process of refusing to eat red meat for this reason.
While plants are alive and are sentient beings they do not possess or express emotion the same way as animals do.
If the point is being suggested that being a carnivore is not any morally worse than eating plants, what about cannibalism? Where then, is the line drawn?
I don't think that plants can feel pain, though.
Think again and use your empathy to connect yourself to a christmas tree in december (you know, one of those live ones that people have in water inside their homes). You'll be surprised at what you feel there.
There's a reason for why I never have a christmas tree. A humane reason. :)
I would rather pick up a fruit of the tree, pick up couple of leafs off my head of lettuce, couple more tomatoes off the vine than worry about slicing animal's throat for flesh.
I have no problem accepting living energy of plants than dead animal .
