While thinking about "nothing" it should be clear that nothing is a word as a symbol - it symbolizes something, which is not nothing, for "something" differs from "nothing".

If "nothing" symbolizes something, then this "something" means not "nothing". In other words - that "something" should symbolize "nothing" by the way giving "nothing" a meaning. But "nothing" has no meaning and no content.

Schortly spoken: there is nothing to say about "nothing" - no content, no meaning, no "something", even no definition and no rememberance. As far as somebody speaks of "something" of "nothing", then "nothing" is "something" again. We can't even think of "nothing", for thinking is also "something" thus touching no "nothing".

So "nothing" is an empty word unable to fill with "something". And as far as this word symbolizes something, it's btw a contradiction in itself - on "nothing" is nothing to say.

But there is the phenomenon of symbolism. A symbol represents a reality. We have the feeling of "nothing" as "something", nevertheless not knowing what.

So symbolism - far from "nothing" -
1. represents "something", and this we can connect with sense;
2. tries to represent - in matters of "something" - something which is not, thus treating "nothing" as part of "something". Here symbolism has come to an end - the border between "something" and "nothing" cannot be transcented. And here it makes actually no sense to speak of any sense.


Humans live in a so called cage of categories - space and time - as categories of being or ontological categories. It is not possible to get rid of them. And actually there are two states of not knowing anything - "nothing" and "God". There is no no-ontology and no super-ontology we could know and speak of.

In case of being truthfull I gave those notes to keep attention on the wisdom of being more silent when we not exactly know. Think for yourself.
